With less than forty days until our November 6, 2012 national election, most citizens that have been disenchanted with President Obama have one issue on their mind: DEFEAT! The most important factor of achieving this goal is for individuals to go to their precincts and make their vote heard. In addition to casting your vote, make it your responsibility to know the political stance of your immediate family and close friends. If you know someone that is on the fence, PLEASE take the time to make the Truth known. I will show you an easy way to accomplish this.
I am going to share with you in simple form a technique that Benjamin Franklin used in making a decision. This can be used to make a decision between narrowing down a car purchase, house purchase or in our case, eliminating a Presidential choice. All one needs is a full size piece of paper and a pen or pencil. Draw a line across the top portion of the paper leaving enough space for the name Obama on the left and Romney on the right. Down the center of the paper draw a line from top to bottom. Two methods of persuasion will be used. The first will be the positive reasons why one should vote for Mitt Romney. The second method should only be used if the first method is not solid enough. The second method is why one should not vote for Obama. Once truthful facts have been established, learn them and commit them to memory for future use.
The first method of the Ben Franklin technique is listing as many positives as possible. Many democrats have been stating that Mitt Romney has no plan for our future. Anyone that watched the Republican convention or has listened to Mitt at speaking engagements is well aware of his five step plan:
1. The United States will be energy independent by 2020 by taking advantage of oil, coal, gas, nuclear and renewables.
2. Our education system will be enhanced by giving adults new skills programs and giving the parents a choice of what school their children will attend.
3. New trade agreements will be made not allowing other nations to cheat without paying the consequence.
4. Mitt Romney wants “to assure every entrepreneur and job creator that their investment in America will not vanish as have those in Greece; we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.
5. Small businesses will be helped through reducing taxes and by simplifying and modernizing regulations that hurt them. Most importantly, Obamacare must be repealed.
Just in Governor Romney’s five step plan there are nine positive points of persuasion to be listed. I am sure with a little work, many more positive attributes can be applied to the Romney side.
After you write the list of all the great characteristics and plans that Mitt Romney has to offer on his side of the paper, hand the pen to your challenger and ask them to please write down why you should vote for Obama.
If the first step is not doing the job, you can always go to the next step with one more sheet of paper. Step two is much more aggressive; it represents an attack on the President. It will be a true and factual accounting of every reason why we should oust Obama.
Prior to Obama’s election and up to this very date one can find a list of failures: for instance, lies and corruption outside and inside the White House. Obama has stated that he would have a transparent White House that would bring America together as one. Obama mentioned he would secure our borders and provide better National Security. The lies go on and on and on!
Obama has failed at every level and we haven’t gotten to the bottom of all the corruption, i.e. Solyndra and Fast and Furious. The most recent cover-up was the Libya incident. As stated earlier, the negatives flow from this President and his administration on a daily basis. Why anyone would have voted for this man the first time, let alone a second time, is beyond me.
The Great President Ronald Reagan stated,
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in our bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.
This will be one of the most important elections in our lifetimes. It means the difference between a step in the right direction towards liberty and freedom or the choice to be enslaved by a massive government. All concerned should vote, make sure your family and friends are voting and if they are unable to do so, help them register, apply for absentee voting or give them a ride to their precinct. Together, we can make a difference.
