You Pick the Losers, President Obama

In the last presidential debate, Mitt Romney delivered a stinging line to his adversary, “You don’t just pick winners and losers, you pick losers.” Could there be any better summation of the Obama Presidency?

What is beginning to solidify in the minds of many voters is the notion of a need for presidential leadership and it is showing in the polls. Americans want a winner and they see winners in Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

In last week’s debate, the smirking, disrespectful, Joe Biden came across as a loser. Sure, he scored some points on enthusiasm and emotional style, but in the end, he lost the electorate he needed to reach. That group is looking for someone who will offer real solutions and not just blame others for their circumstances. (Loser behavior)

The best example of picking a loser (and there is some tough competition) is this Administration’s foreign policy which can be summarized as: If we are nice to them, they will like us. When I think of this “policy“, I think of Barney, the big purple dinosaur singing, “I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family…..” With this liberal loser philosophy, it is assumed that if we are somehow just nice to our enemies, they will not want to kill us anymore.

Sure, as a Christian, I am commanded to love my enemy, but even Jesus told his disciples that they would find themselves in dangerous circumstances and to sell their cloak for a sword if they were lacking one. (Luke 22:36) Yes ladies, the King of Kings is down with self defense.

The liberals wet their panties when a winner, President Ronald Reagan stood firm and demanded the Berlin Wall be torn down in one of the boldest foreign policy moves ever. The losers would have had us apologize to the Soviets and given up on significant defense programs under their loser philosophy of preemptive surrender.

With this loser foreign policy you get an American Embassy in one of the most dangerous places in the world defended on September 11th by?????? Where were the Marines? Although an Army guy, I have full faith that a small contingent of heavily armed Marines could have held up against this planned attack.

The SEALS who died, fought valiantly, but defense of the American Embassy was not their mission and as such, they were not equipped with the necessary arms and ammunition to adequately defend against an organized attack that was much more than an irate group of maligned moviegoers as the Administration would have us believe.

Barack Obama has a consistent record of picking losers. His aforementioned foreign policy is a loser. His economic policy is a loser. His class warfare is a loser. He has made race relations worse. His budget is a loser, not even one Democrat voted for it! His energy policy is a loser. His “tax the job creators” model is a loser.

He picked losers in Jeremiah Wright, Bernadine Dohrn, Bill Ayres, Tony Rezko, Rod Blagojevich, Courtney Dupree, Willie Shepherd, John Corzine, Solyndra, Abound Solar, Beacon Power Corp, Evergreen Solar, Amonix Solar, SpectraWatt, ACORN, Valerie Jarrett, Sandra Fluke, and the list goes on and on.

During the last two debates, the American people saw two men unprotected by the main stream media who looked like losers. The first debate showed Barack Obama as weak, smug, and without fresh ideas. He looked like the kid who just got busted for lying to his mother. He was schooled by a respectful Mitt Romney who commanded the facts with an unapologetic air of confidence.

The second debate showed Joe Biden as rude, arrogant, interrupting, condescending, and also without fresh ideas, contrasted by a humble, soft spoken but well informed Paul Ryan. Biden came across as the yelling, abusive, alcoholic-type father unwilling to listen to the younger innocent son.

Americans like winners. America needs winners. Those winners are Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and the American people are starting to take notice.
