America in Dire Straits: Money for Nothing and Your Chicks for Free!

Okay, folks, it’s now official. We get four more years of President Obama, high unemployment, higher taxes, weaker military and growing deficit. Sounds to me like the greatest nation on earth is now in pretty Dire Straits. I have to admit this one totally blind-sided me. I thought for sure America had enough morally upright, God-fearing patriots to defeat Obama. But now we have to be honest about it. We don’t. He won. And it’s not Obama’s fault. He simply saw a trend and took advantage of it.

Ever since the 1960’s America has been in a downward spiral into graft and corruption. I was listening to the conservative talking heads all day, and they kept trying to figure out why their predictions were wrong. It’s simple. There are now more liberals in America than conservatives. We are now officially and undeniably outnumbered.

The choice between Romney and Obama was crystal clear with no room for confusion. Romney offered us traditional America where every person has the opportunity to make the American Dream come true.

All you have to do is work hard and smart and long, and soon the fruits of your labor will come back home on every wave. Obama offered a new version of the American Dream, and it’s pretty much summed up by a rock song from 1985 and the band called “Dire Straits”. The song is titled “Money for Nothing”, and I remember loving that song. I didn’t even know what the lyrics were, but I loved the sound. Now that I’m older, that strikes me as pretty shallow. This verse seems to exemplify Obama voters:

Now look at them yo-yo’s that’s the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain’t workin’ that’s the way you do it
Money for nothin’ and chicks for free
Now that ain’t workin’ that’s the way you do it
Lemme tell ya them guys ain’t dumb
Maybe get a blister on your little finger

Oddly enough the chorus seems to epitomize the Romney voters and all who believe in hard work and the traditional version of the American dream.

We gotta install microwave ovens
Custom kitchen deliveries
We gotta move these refrigerators
We gotta move these colour TV’s

America is now divided into two groups: those who work, and those who take from those who work. But what happens when more people are taking than giving? It’s only a matter of time before the people working look around and say, “What the hell am I working my butt off for?” I should just quit and join the ranks of those getting their money for nothing and their chicks for free.
I sit back and I watch. When the tipping point is reached, America will implode. America is in the process of cultural and economic suicide, and they’re laughing and dancing all the way to the funeral.

But a part of me looks forward to the implosion with a sad smile. The laws of cause and effect can’t be stopped, not even by President Obama. You can only borrow so much. You can only support so many illegal aliens. You can only tax so much. You can only weaken your military defense so much.

The world is watching. The Arab world is watching and smiling. The Russians are watching and they’re anxious to regain superpower status. The Chinese are watching, but soon they’ll be acting. And Israel, that tiny country surrounded by people who want to kill them, they are also watching. It’s only a matter of time before the law of cause and effect brings down the American house of cards.

What is going to happen first?
Will Israel attack Iran?
Will Iran attack Israel?
Will the Arabs cut off our oil?
Will China call in its debt?
Will Obama unilaterally destroy our nuclear capability?
Will the UN move in and take away our guns?

Only God knows. But if you’re not ready for it, you’d better escalate your prepping.
