Jonah Goldberg is right. The Left are the fascists.

    • rivahmitch

and should be treated as such!!!

    • MrSubtle

Quite true. Though these folks complaining are calling themselves “atheists” I think it would be more accurate to call them “communists” or “anti-Americans”. The atheists I know all love Christmas and I’m one of them. Then again, we are also all pro-American and anti-Communist atheists too. We like religious tolerance and the Constitution too. I know I am a member of a small and generally unpopular religious minority, so why in the would would it be hard for me to understand the value of religious tolerance (and the predominance of it in the USA)? I suspect that these guys probably have a very different agenda and it’s not about American culture or religious tolerance, or anything like that.

  • Wes Walker

    Whiny Atheist?
    But you repeat yourself…

    • MrSubtle

Perhaps you have a sampling bias at work here. There are plenty of atheists out here who love Christmas and who never whine. That’s probably why you never hear from us. What we have here is people who hate American culture and they are out to destroy it. That they may also be atheists is a side issue.

      • Wes Walker

        Fair comment.

  • jeannyR

I am d— sick and tired of athiests pushing their ignorance on everyone else. Tell them to sit down and shut up, or deport them to Russia.

    • Alex Davidson

Russia would never accept them! – Maybe ANTARCTICA, sent there in swimsuits and nylon tents, and let them go through it with the warmth of the promised hellfire to warm their tootsies!

    • LadyforLiberty

jeannyR: Every citizen of the United States has the right to Freedom of Speech.
Even religion is covered, as you have a right under the USC to worship God or Not!
So if you think athiests are ignorant, then that is your opinion, which you also are entitled to.
If a child brought up RC was molested by a priest, and decided to put religion behind her, would she not have the RIGHT not to believe in religion??

    • John Spencer

Don’t tar us all with the same brush, Jeanny. I’m guessing that there are more of us atheists who respect the First Amendment AND the beliefs of Christians (or other theologies) than there are of those that want to gag religious expression.

  • Bill Weston

Intellectual snobbery no longer works, facts that cannot be ignored present themselves, all that is left is temper tantrums. Whiney athiests = spoiled brats.

  • Alex Davidson

Actually, the Atheists are AT WAR with Christianity since 231 AD, and it was THEY that started the “Dark Ages” which murdered millions of people, but they cunningly used “Christianity” as a FRONT! – By assuming Christian-like practices and convenient teachings, yet leaving out the essential rules of God (which they objected to, and still do). Here, when I was subjected to an ECONOMIC WAR, by an aggressive Bank, I responded by declaring a RETALIATORY WAR against their aggression: I won, and the Bank backed down (as did others with their punitive over-charging “defaulting fees”)… as if they had continued, they would have paif billions $ MORE in Insurance cover during such “war”. – You are missing out on a golden opportunity! – And remember that Jesus allowed us all to wage a war of refusal to comply or accept men’s doctrines over what are HIS RULES! Deny the Atheists help, support, service, or any form of contact. Paul and other apostles told us never to entertain or follow or accept ANY of their Anti-Christ immoral, blasphemous, foul, deviate lustful, lying, practices. Yet, if they are repenting, to be prepared to forgive them, while still remaining watchful of their intents! If you don’t DO this, you do not really belong to God or The Christ! (Because by not doing anything good, you help the enemy to win!)

    • Emily

“In the face of tyranny, the most urgent, the most disgraceful, the most shameful and the most tragic problem is silence.”

    • fijord

Is this about “winning”, or “retaliation”? I assume your a Christian by your post, but in my life of going to Church, Jesus won the battle, theres no more “winning” left, only love to bring to those who dont know his salvation. With your actions share the love of Christ, not ostracize your “opponents” with another holy war.

    • MrSubtle

Wow. You really think that atheists started the dark ages? I think you need to read a little history. Or are you claiming that the whole Catholic Church is a bunch of atheists? And that the Roman converts to Christianity were all atheists? That’s just weird.

      • rulken

No,, that is just FACTUAL! The Catholic Church, does not now nor ever has followed the true doctrine of the Bible.
The Catholic Church tells us that in “purgatory”, is a place between heaven and earth, NOWHERE, in the bible is the word, “Purgatory”!

There is only One, “Father”, and He lives in heaven, your Priest is a man, not your “Father”, and no amount of money can save your dead ones from going to hell, the Priest can’t save them, the Cardinals, can’t save them, even the Pope, can’t save them. The only one that can is Jesus, “, the only way to the father is through the Son Jesus.

If the athiests want to sit this one out they are more than welcome to do just that sit it put, What they can’t do is make other people do what they want. If my kids want to go see this then they will go see it, and if an atheist touches my kid then that person will have a very bad time.

Those four so called parents need a Christmas tree shoved up their anus ,,,,,

Parents, if you don’t want your kids to go to the show then don’t give them permission. YOU DO NOT have the right to impose your views on the other parents.

  • doug63

The atheists you get problems from are like “radical muslims” they just need to stir up s**t. I am an athiest. I don’t care what anyone else believes. I say “Merry Christmas” to everyone, even muslims. CHRISTMAS IS FOR THE KIDS. If you don’t want your kid to go to see charlie brown, KEEP THEM HOME.

    • URKiddinMee

A rational comment from someone with an opposing belief system. How refreshing!

    • iamtrue

atheist is just a word. What is going on here is just another example of anti-americans trying to throw their BS around in hope to change our Country. Hopefully we ail find a civil way to put an end to all this once and for all.

    • John Spencer

I’m an atheist as well, and I totally agree. I say “Merry Christmas,” I send Christmas cards (but not those with a strong overt Deistic message) and I have no problems if someone wishes me a Happy Hannukah or whatever. People like these who want to censor other people’s free speech and expression are nuts and, as Doug says, are more like radical muslims than they are Americans. Yes, absolutely, keep your kids home if you think Charlie Brown is subversive, but don’t force your beliefs on others.

      • Cynthia Michelle Hughes

Well John you probably are a true atheist, I have a friend who is and does not care one wit if I say Merry Christmas or what have you. Those “atheists” that do have a problem are not really atheists, they are simply really angry at a God they believe in. It is clear this is the case by their actions.

      • iamtrue

Thank you Mr. Spencer for understanding. You are whom i consider a true American. The reason America has it’s long standing as the Country with it’s arms wide open welcoming anybody and everybody is cause of our kind and generous freedom ways of thinking and living for anybody and everybody to come and experience, learn, and live. To live under our ways of law not to change them. Yes things do need to be updated but not changed. There is a difference between the two. Change is what every anti-american spends their every waking moment on trying to do and it’s not just atheist it can be anybody who can’t stand America and Americans. You can tell just by the way they talk and speak of America and Americans. They are whom i consider anti-americans. And who do we have to thank for bringing all this to the forefront that thug who took over our beautiful White House need i say more. Thank you for listening sorry i let it all get away from me chow.

I truly appreciate that doug63……not being cynical here, too bad the radical “FACTIONS” on all sides cannot understand that mindset and follow suit……I also appreciate that an athiest keeps “CHRIST” in CHRISTmas……..
God Bless you Brother…………….Peace on Earth and Good Will to Men!
Semper Vigilo, Fortis Paratus et Fidelis

    • MrSubtle

I’m an atheist too, and I have a lot of atheist friends as well (and a lot of non-atheist ones too) and every one of the has a Christmas tree, gives and receives gifts, and says “Merry Christmas” to people in December and I am sure that none of them would have any problem watching Charlie Brown Christmas or having their kids watch it. Of course I don’t believe that there’s anything supernatural about Christmas but it is an important part of our common culture and it’s a positive and fun aspect of being an American and that’s why I love it and that’s why the people who are attacking it are attacking it. They despise American culture and want to see it destroyed. We should all stand up against this kind of nonsense, *especially* us atheists since it is being attacked in our names.

      • iamtrue

Thank you Mr.Yoder you also are a true American. Now ALL True Americans need to join the front line so we can kick butt. Sort-of-speak

    • sn

It is sad that these fools that don’t want their children to see Charlie Brown’s Christmas cartoon have a warped sense of reality. Please tell me that they were deprived of seeing the Charlie Brown film as children or that they so violently protested as children when they were forced to see it (did they cry and throw tantrum fits)? Get a life! Grow up. Life is too short not to enjoy a cartoon or so. Guess they would prefer their children to see mechanical monsters destroying life and property. RIGHT!

  • mhumberger

Don’t the idiot atheists know they don’t have to o and watch the play? They can just send the note back to school saying their children can’t go!!! If they are such small people to teach their agenda to their kids they will eventually reap what they sow!! All of them. Hey atheists , you may not believe in God but He still loves and believes in you!!!

  • JB

My grandson has a Festivus concert tomorrow – they will play ONE (1) Christmas piece. He said there is ONE (1) kid in the 7th grade band who is non-Christian (can we still say Muslim?) so no Christmas music allowed. In fact, the concert is being held in November to avoid any connection to Dec 25th at all…and this is in an affluent OHIO suburb!

    • granny

JB, Tell the none Christian to go find another school. However at the end of the Concert all the parents should stand up and sing…..”GOD Bless America”. They can stop the school from Xmas songs, but they cannot stop the parents that want to sing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/nightskygazr Doug Golay

If that’s the way they want it; then I expect to see these parents at work on December 25th & their kids in some kind of all day study prgram. After all if you are against Christmas then you are against the Christmas Breaks too. Or are they all just hypocrits?

  • abeliever

If they don’t like it don’t watch it. If they are affended by it don’t look at it. If they don’t want to see it written don’t read it. I don’t complain about their comments or what they have written. I DON’T LOOK, READ or WATCH IT. Even if they don’t believe GOD loves them still. I pray for them all. ( I don’t care if you don’t like that. Its what I do for all)……..

In reality I think it’s about the money. They are making money by suing. The instigators of this I’m sure are lawyers. The lawyers always get paid no matter what the outcome.

  • URKiddinMee

So let their little demons in training stay the hell home that day. Meanwhile how long should we put up with school sponsored Halloween carnivals and parties?

    • MrSubtle

Umm, isn’t that a little inconsistent? If you want your kids to stay away from Halloween parties then quitcherbitchin and pull them out. There’s no need to stop the other kids from having their fun.

  • SICK AND TRIED OF THESE PEOPLE

I AM TOTALLY SICK OF THESE PEOPLE AND THE ACL THAT SUPPORT THEM.

  • GWY

Athiests have the right to say anything they want. When they seek to deny others the same right, they are commiting an unlawful act under the first amendment to the constitution. It is time we held these criminals accountable for their behavior.

    • MrSubtle

Hold on there champ. The US Constitution guarantees citizens the right to say anything they want. It tells the government that it may not do certain things but it doesn’t tell the people that they can’t do anything. It’s all about limits on the government and a little bit of empowerment to do 17 specific things (not that they pay any attention to those limits or stick to those 17 things, but that’s another post). You can’t prosecute citizens for unconstitutional behavior.

  • thismustend

Isn’t it odd that no atheists ever protest their children being taught mu slim prayers, history, culture, hand signs & dressing up in mu slim garb? The Constitution states that CONGRESS shall pass no LAW establishing a religion nor INTERFERE with the FREE EXERCISE thereof, that has been construed to mean Christianity will be wiped out of our society. It is truly amazing how easily led & mindlessly ignorant the masses are.

    • ann

Ah! Someone who actually understands the establishment clause! There is no “Separation of church and state” in the Constitution. Too bad our commie schools don’t teach the REAL meaning of that statement.

      • fijord

Please understand the meaning of communism before you throw it around. Thank you.

        • iamtrue

You know, you need to screw your head on straight. Reread her post then come back and post something that makes sense.

          • fijord

I reread it, it still says “commie schools”. Our school system may be many things, many negative things, but it is NOT communist. Communism is an ideology in which there is no private property, everything is owned by the “state”. And in no school do I know of no one being able to posses personal property with the exception of some stringent boarding school examples (nothing specific). Americans are far to quick to throw around the word Communism to describe everything they disagree with, similar to the way some other Americans are too quick and eager to throw around the words “racism” and “hate”.

    • John Spencer

Here’s one atheist who would not want his kid to be indoctrinated the way you describe. Being educated about various religions and cultures is fine, but I would sure protest in a hurry if I thought my kids were being required to participate in any of them. It’s hard to define the line between those, but think of it in terms of sex. You might well expect your kids to receive sex education, but very few of us would support them getting sex training.

      • fijord

There is a difference between a religious/ cultural education and being forced to participate. Somethings may be done and shown to add a hands on effect, but that person is not being forced to worship or pray to Buddha, or Allah, or any other deity they may be learning about. And there is a far cry between your example of sex and religion.

        • iamtrue

Better yet since you don’t have anything nice to say take your anti-american atheist ass back to no mans land you should have no problem finding your way around there.

          • fijord

I…I dont even know where to begin on this one, I cant lie, it did make me smile. First off, please clarify your statement “I dont have anything nice to say”, was there something in my above post that was “not nice”? I thought I tried to be very polite. And “anti-american atheist” I cant lie, that was the first time Ive ever been called any of that, how do you glean that by supporting the learning of various religions and cultures I am “anti-American” or an atheist? Isnt diversity what makes America what it is? The freedom to practice religions? And what part of my post discloses my religion? You assume (wrongfully) that I do not have one, that I would worship the void and science and self. You sir (or madam?) need to read, and learn to speak nicer.

          • iamtrue

Now how does it feel to be on the other end of the stick not having a clue of what is being talked about well we get that from you anti-americans 24/7 and news flash ann is completely correct this is socialist thuggery although i prefer the words anti-american thuggery but what the heck call it what you will the point is socialism has infected our beautiful Country enough it’s time we get truly serious and get our Capitalism Country back and if you can’t or won’t understand that then you truly are an anti-american thug. chow.

Don’t like the christain values of our country, you know the values that our country is based on, then leave. Don’t like our republic for wich it stands under GOD then leave. Don’t like to have the respect that work gives to you, both internally & externally, and you just want to take from all other workers then leave. Don’t want to speak our language (english) then leave. Don;t repect our constitution then leave. Don’t think the U.S.A. is not the greatest country ever in history and the U.S.A.’s constitution needs to be replaced then leave our country.
It is Christmas time respect it, for you see this is a christain country no matter what the whiny atheist or any other loud mouthed group states. Further more to all of the employees of our government you work for us read our histor and read our constitution. Stop all of this political correctness for all it is doing is ruining our country, just as the printing of massive amounts of paper money is ruining our financial system.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ! !

    • Emily

      AMEN.

  • rulken

This is real simple,, We have the freedom of religion in the USA. It doesn’t matter who likes that or not, the fact is we do have that religion. Second, if you don’t want your child to participate in this type of activity, that’s your prerogative, Just send the note, telling the school that you don’t want them to attend, as was spelled out in this article.
So,, What is the problem? Oh,,, you want to impose your faithless values on our children?
Okay,, THAT WE CAN, AND WILL FIGHT ABOUT!

    • John Spencer

And, as an atheist, I will fight alongside you for your right to have your children brought up as Christians, even though I would not push those beliefs on my own kids. However, should my kids choose to become Christians (and one of them has made that choice), then that’s fine with me, and so is the fact that he and his family are all weekly churchgoers..

  • kaline

I agree with what Joe Zimmerman said below….Athiests need an education and a wake up call that we are not going to allow their whinny rheteric

  • 2pvtyork17

with talks and actions like this where are we headed? The first line item in the Communist agenda is the elimination of religious and church’s items all together. Looks as if the war is on. Where will we stand ?

    • MrSubtle

My suggestion is that you stand on principle. Stand on the principle of individual rights. That’s a position that every decent and reasonable person in the country can agree on, the vast majority of atheists included. Let the other guys explain why it is that they think an intolerant and exclusionary policy (theirs) should be imposed against the people they don’t like (traditional Christians in this case) and watch them squirm. Don’t try to beat them at their own game.

If instead you take the position that some on this thread have that “This is a Christian country and Christianity deserves special deference and exceptions etc.” and that makes it about a narrow, sectarian, and unprincipled position that can only count on support by Christians. That’s not the way to go. Stick with the universal principle and then stick with it in principled way. If they want to start their own schools, let them do it. If they want to pull their own kids out of the play, by all means let them do it. If they want to walk around like sour pusses at Christmas time snapping at anybody who says “Merry Christmas” it’s their right to do that too, but seriously, who wants to be that kind of person? Or pay attention to that kind of person? Clearly nobody. That’s how you win in the long run.

      • granny

Mr. Yoder I respect any ones belief. However, I do not appreciate any person telling me what is appropriate & what is not. If I like to say Merry Christmas & watch Charlie Brown’s Xmas, I will do so.. Anyone that does not want GOD’s way and the Christianity that goes with it, can go and do what they want, and leave the rest of us alone. I respect your religion as long as it does not have anything to do with murder of family, or marriage to a 5 year old, then you are akin to the Devil and deserve no respect. This land was founded on Christianity & I am quite sure your relatives would not be happy to learn of your atheist beliefs.

        • MrSubtle

What the country was founded on was a set of moral principles that can be agreed on by people of all sorts of religions and none too. They basically say that we should do whatever we want as long as we don’t abuse others. I can wholeheartedly support that as a way that we can all live together in peace. It has worked pretty well for a long time too. Alas, the government is changing that these days and trying to change that and allow those in power to abuse the rest of us. Sometimes those in power are religious, some are not. Some are in agreement with me on various issues and sometimes not, but whether I like what those in power are forcing on people or not, it’s wrong to do that.

I’m curious what you mean by “murder of family”. Are you talking about something involved in killing people or about gays living together? The former is obviously something the law should get involved in and the latter just the opposite.

As for my relatives, why would they not be happy? Pretty much all of them know and not one has had a harsh word or raised an eyebrow. Why should they? Are you assuming that they are intolerant of people who disagree with them about religion?

S-o-o-o-o- typical of the Atheist attacking what is real and normal. Does anyone ever wonder why these souless/godless people can’t stand reality? They are just like the Muslims, can’t stand freedom to believe and live as free humans. They are miserable and unhappy ALL the time. If the parents (atheist) don’t want their children going on this field trip, than keep them home or they can stay in school for the day and read from the Obama Marxist play book. The atheist in this country have joined forces with the Muslims and they are doing a good job of using the same Muslim tactics. But at least we know who are enemies are. I will say this, watch what happens when an Atheist parent sees their child in a hospital, etc… wait for them to drop on their knees and pray for God’s help or watch them run out of a burning building, crying for God’s help. It does happen everytime and it just shows what a fool they are.

    • MrSubtle

There are plenty of us atheists who are just as annoyed at these kinds of jerks as you are, but we don’t get much coverage in the press. 100% of my atheist friends engage in and enjoy the Christmas holiday festivities just like everybody else (except for the explicitly religious parts like going to church, praying, and the like obviously). The folks making such a fuss are leftists (and not necessarily even atheist ones).

  • Estoban

Atheists, gays and anarchists are all very threatened by Christian principles, values and morals. The laws that govern America’s culture and society are a great inconvenience to this group, so they must try to undermine them at every point!

    • John Spencer

I am an atheist and I have no problems with Christian principles, values or morals – or laws based on those. I just don’t believe that they are underpinned by some cosmic intelligence.

    • MrSubtle

I think you are painting with a pretty broad brush here. Not all atheists and gays back all of this leftist anti-American nonsense. I’m an atheist and I’m not at all offended by such notions as that theft and lying are wrong, that you should conduct yourself with dignity, and be tolerant of others. That’s all good stuff. What these things threaten is not atheists per se, they threaten the leftist dream of an all-powerful unlimited state. Of course many of the people who have this dream happen to also be atheists, but most of them are religious. Some of them are gay too though most aren’t. Let’s put the blame where it belongs. on people who hate American culture and American liberty most of all. That some of them may be atheists or gay is unimportant. There are plenty of us on the other side of the fence, defending America and its liberty-loving and virtue-loving culture. I’m certainly one of them.

  • Lawrence Mayo

    Kill all liberals.

  • ann

These people, along with those who push the homosexual agenda and sex “education” in our schools, want to strip our children of their innocence, which they’re entitled to as children. As Jesus said, “Woe to those who would scandalize one of these little ones. Better they tie a millstone around their neck and cast themselves into the sea.”

  • Cheryl

Let the little atheist kids go to the library and the Christian kids go to the movie.

  • Light_V_Dark

Freddie Nietzsche** was a BRILLIANT little Gay-Boy, who died utterly insane. Syphillis was a contributing factor, for sure. But, his homosexuality {THE_ ULTIMATE_INSANITY} and ATHEISM, were the biggest factors leading to his early demise.

** Nietzsche himself was sickly, weak, and a nifty dresser—in short, a giant philology professor nerd. But he crafted his persona in his works, and this reinforces one of the major themes in his thought: individuals must be treasured above uniformity and commonality; it is the colorful swathe of a life that he admired most, and tried to live. We shall see why this was so important to him presently.

    • MrSubtle

I don’t know what attacking Nietzsche has to do with any of this, but for the record, there is no indication in his voluminous letters and other records that he was gay. He was certainly socially awkward and he never married, but that’s not the same thing as being gay.

As for the cause of his illness later in life, there’s no proof that it was syphilis, though it is a possibility. One reason to doubt this is the rapidity of the onset of his mental decline and what set it off. He had been at a party and seemed as mentally together as ever and when he walked outside he saw a man violently beating a horse. He struggled with the man and was never quite right in the head again after that. Ove a couple of weeks he underwent a steady decline (he wrote a few letters and notes during that time that show very poor penmanship and weak and childish thinking). After that he went completely catatonic, never speaking or moving voluntarily again. To me that sounds more like a stroke or something along those lines rather than syphilis.

Look, I have a lot of criticisms of Nietzsche. I have even bigger problems with nihilism which I consider to be an extremely bad way of looking at the world, but I at least get my facts right about guys like Nietzsche, I admit it when he is right about something (and sometimes was), and I dont fly off the handle with all of these irrelevant personal attacks that have no relevance to anything important. Even if Nietzsche was queer as a three dollar bill, and so on, that has no bearing on the question of whether his writings were true (or entertaining) or not. Have you ever heard of the Ad Hominem fallacy before? You should look it up.

Kohler succeeds in showing, Nietzsche’s masochistic homosexuality explains much that he said and suffered – for Nietzsche himself said that sexuality is the summit of an individual’s spirituality, and his concept of the ideal existence embraced Dionysian orgiastic freedom, as expressed in his own day by the life of the naked sun-kissed youths of Sicily (which Nietzsche called “the isle of the blessed”) so lovingly photographed by Wilhelm van Gloeden.

Singing the” Red Flag”, the highborn sons of the British upper-class lay on the carpeted floor spinning out socialist schemes in homosexual intermission. Sometimes, one of the participants would shout out an obscenity – then, as if on signal, the entire group would join in a frenzied babble of profanity. Here and there individuals would smoke or chew hashish. Most had unkempt long hair, and some sported beards.
        _______________
Chief of this ring of homosexual revolutionaries was John Maynard Keynes, who eventually became the economic architect of English socialism and gravedigger for the British Empire. The chief American Fabians, acting as carriers of the Keynesian sickness, were Felix Frankfurter and Walter Lippmann. Covertly, they mobilized their Leftist comrades to spread this pollution in America also. So successful were they that on January 4, 1971, President Nixon announced: “I am now a Keynesian in economics.” What does that mean?

Negatively, he {Fyodor Dostoevsky} tried to show that if the existence of God is denied, then one is landed in complete moral relativism, so that no act, regardless how dreadful or heinous, can be condemned by the atheist. To live consistently with such a view of life is unthinkable and impossible. Hence, atheism is destructive of life and ends logically in suicide.

        THESE GHOULS ARE EVIL»»

  • Madfoxx

It’s time we call atheism what it really is, a new religion for those that believe in forcing others to not believe.

  • Randy G

Maybe people should boycott all athiest programs. If they say ‘no’ we say ‘yes’ & do it anyway!!!

  • Madfoxx

Liberalism is a mental disorder and it is becoming an epidemic. Join forces and stop this disease from spreading!

  • Tony

Arggggggghhhhhhh. All it takes are a few people to ruin an innocent thing.

    • John Spencer

      Exactly.

  • Tony

You know who sufferes the most with this type of thinking? The kids. Imagine growing up in a household that teaches you there is no God. This miracle of life just happened out of no where. Talk about mental cruelty.

    • John Spencer

I never, ever, taught my kids that there is no God. They know I thought so, but they were free to do their own research and come to their own decisions. One of them is now, with his wife and children, an active Christian and that’s his absolute right.

  • yachtnutz

Here’s my thought on atheists they are very Evil , self centered, egotistical, maniacal, blind, dumbfounded, stupid, idiotic, moronic, lost, heartless, soulless, brain dead, self absorb, cowardice , bullying, etc etc, Can someone please tell me why a Cross ,or Christmas tree ,or a live nativity scene or even the mention of Jesus Christ make them Mad , they like to make everyone think they are doing the right thing by trying to push their ideas on everyone and deep down inside and they don’t believe in God so they are doing the work for Satan and don’t even know it Yet !

    • John Spencer

Please don’t lump all atheists together. Many of us have no wish whatsoever to push our ideas on you. I believe what I believe, you believe what you believe. That’s fine with me. I hate atheists trying to ban mention of religion just as much as I hate Christians telling me I’ll go to Hell unless I accept Jesus. And that does happen rather a lot.

  • Mikey

Wow. This country is on the skids.

  • The Bee Guy

There are no TRUE Atheists. The very name is a lie. For these are simply people who have substituted one god, (themselves) for another God, the (creator of themselves). They simply reject a thought of a GOD, for the god they demand to be…

    • MrSubtle

That’s silly. I am an atheist and I believe in neither a universal supernatural being nor do I believe myself to be one. If by “god” you just mean “an ordinary person who doesn’t believe in the supernatural then you have twisted the word “god” out of all possible use, and if you are speaking metaphorically then make the best of it, but that’s not really the same thing as being a theist now is it?

      • granny

Yoder: Do you just like to see your name in print. We care not that you are an atheist. We care not whether you celebrate Xmas or not. Bet the Amish do not like you very much. You couldn’t make it giving your life to any cause but what you want. You are a lot like BOZO as he is uneducated also,.altho he thinks he is a god…….that is called lack of brains & no class. You are an “I” person that only thinks of yourself.

Good for you, doug63. You, at least have the courtesy to allow kids to enjoy the Christmas holiday, regardless of your belief. A post script to my message. Many retail stores, rely on the Christmas holiday to survive for the entire year. So, we do have another positive for the holiday. Merry Christmas.

  • James Maxwell

Save Christmas, smack an atheists for being stupid. The Constitution says “Freedom of
religion”. If you do not wish to participate in a religions activities that is your personal
choice. If you do not want your child to enjoy the show then provide them with other
enchantment, MTV and the rappers will shout, scream and provide all the profanity and
sexual perversions you want. If I choose to send my Child, Grand Child or Grant Grand
child to a church sponsored even that is my religions freedom to do so. I do not picket
nor snort in diversion at you lack of morals, ethics or lack of religion, that is your personal
choice in life and you have to deal with it. Bottom line “Bite me” numb nuts and get our
    of my way.

  • PatriotDiva

I doubt anyone is forcing the kids to see the play. Let them keep their kids home.

I have a better idea for atheists, stop attacking Christians, funny don’t see your attacks on Muslims,–what worried that Muslims will issue fatwas on your lives–and promote atheism.

Maybe even you can put up an atheist scene, promoting atheism and honoring the history of atheism. Maybe you can even lobby to have a national holiday for atheism, it could be a nothing day, to celebrate nothing.

But promote your own religion, atheism, and stop attacking others.

  • Cynthia Michelle Hughes

Well here is the thing, kids are not forced to go on field trips. In fact parents have to sign off and approve, so you don’t want you kid to see this movie? Don’t sign the form! Simple as that!

    • MrSubtle

The state is a jealous god and it will have no other god before it. These people aren’t best described as atheists, but as statists.

Yeah, & then they wonder why their kids are hoodlums, druggies, thieves, or worse. If you have a problem with Christmas, then may I suggest that you don’t participate in it? Keep your kids home that day, also, do NOT buy them any gifts either.

  • TK-NAM-VET

It’s too bad that these parents keep pushing their atheist beliefs on their children. I’m sure they receive at home a constant push towards being an atheist why not let the child see both sides and let them make up their own mind what they want to believe. Course atheist are like demorats there’s no other why but their’s.
