We need to get this message out to all the ignorant people that think taking honest peoples guns will make them safer. Have them look at statistics from Australia and UK. When there guns were taken crime went up PERIOD. !!! How can we spread this more? !

  Your stats are wrong. I live in the United Kingdom where certain crimes have increase but overall crime is down. Since we introduce strict gun laws the United Kimgdim is a much safer place to live. Instead young prople haveturn to knives which is a problem, however gun crime is down. Our streets are safer than ever. Sorry but not ignorant people!

      I agree with you about what is true but you miss the point. The facts/truth is America have more murders from guns than any other country I wonder why.
      By the way, I am a conservative. I have not given up any rights. I desire to be out of the E. U.
      I have relatives who died in both world wars. I love the USA and have visited the USA no less than 120 times, from Alabama, Mississippi, TN, KT, OH, AZ, to Washington State so I have a pretty good take on how Americans think. A question, have you ever been outside the USA?
      I also agree with religious freedom. I am a Christian but I agree that others should be allowed to practice their faith as much as I practice mine. I am sure that goes for your country too. No?

Washington, DC, Chicago and a few other cities have some of the strictest gun laws in the country and the highest crime rate. Those on the left that scream the loudest to pass more and more gun control laws are not about safety but about control. They want to do away with the 2nd Amendment. Otherwise, with all the people killed with cars, knives and blunt instruments, they would want to do away with these in the name of safety as well.

Gun control in the name of safety is only about disarming our law-abiding US citizens. As Rahm Emanuel said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” And the left doesn’t!!

Because the 20-year-old that shot his mother and the people at the school broke numerous gun laws, how would stricter gun laws have stopped him? He was not allowed on school property with a gun but that law didn’t stop him. People intent on robbing or shooting others rarely do this in places where they know people may have guns themselves – when was the last time you saw a gun store robbed?
