Online Petition Wants NRA, RMEF and SCI Declared “Domestic Terrorist Groups”

Screen Shot 2012-12-13 at 6.39.24 PM An online petition is asking the White House to label the National Rifle Association (NRA), Safari Club International (SCI), Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) and other sportsmen’s organizations “domestic terrorist groups.”

The petition, created on November 20 on the White House’s petitions portal We the People, accuses the “anti-predatory animal organizations” of “decimating predators to the brink of extinction.” Specifically, the petition states:

Groups like Lobo Watch, Big Game Forever, Idaho Anti-Wolf Coalition, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, NRA, Safari Club, etc., are a menace in our midst. Not only do many of them want our native predators like bears, wolves, wild cats, and the like decimated to the brink of extinction, but some of them have the nerve to harass, threaten, and downright intimidate anyone who dares to oppose them, even the government. And they’ve got some powerful people in their corner, too. They throw their mammoth monetary weight around, and think they can buy their way into power in America and put down anyone who’s got a backbone and might provide resistance. It’s time to put these groups in their place and strike them down. Time to protect our carnivorous wildlife from those who seek to decimate them!

The petition has been called “loony” and “ridiculous” by the organizations it seeks to defame.

“It’s a stupid petition. Plain and simple. But, it does give hunters insight into the mindset of the anti-hunting extremists and the extent that are willing to go to in their determined effort to dismantle our hunting heritage,” says J.R. Robbins, managing editor of NRAhuntersrights.org.

iF YOU READ OUR CONSTITUTION, DECLARATION OF Independence, and Bill of Rights you will maybe understand the reason the Founding Fathers wrote these items as they did ! To insure that “We the People” have our “God Given Rights and Freedoms” preserved for eternity. Any one who believes other than this is a Terrorist ! The happenings of yesterday in Connecticut are a real travesty but not a way to take Second Amendment Rights away from sane, every day people who by law can own and use guns in a lawful manner as I have since I was six years old and taught by my Grandfather, Uncles and Godfather the proper way to use and handle weapons of any type and that I passed on to my sons the youngest of whom is now eighteen. I by the way am a Veteran of the war in Vietnam and sixty-five years old ! Look at the Swiss, they own guns and have laws and all serve in the armed forces, men and women, then taught to use weapons properly and this country has the lowest crime rate in the World !

The world is full of idiots. No one has done more for wildlife preservation than American hunters and shooters. The only reason we have National parks and wildlife habitat is due to pro hunting organizations that help all wildlife as a result of their actions. Huniing and shooting is an American tradition that pre dates the founding of our country. Anyone that speeks out against our rights is the traitor. This country was founded by people that hunt, shoot and love freedom and liberty. Our current administration does not believe in those values and neither does the ignorant population that voted them into power.

there is hunting season for alot of reasons… to keep the herds from over populating and getting diseased.. starving to death… food on our table for those of us that dont like chemically processed meat.. i have not bought store meat in 25 years, and i’ll be damned if i will start now … its got a nasty taste..

When reading the claims of the petition I thought they were talking about the unions. I can think of only one predator that is a menace not only in decimating big game herbivore’s but a mortal danger to American people who live outside of (hell holes) known as cities. The wolf was reintroduced as part of agenda 21. With the knowledge and intention that the wolves would drive people from lands outside of the city limits into the human termite mounds called cities. I don’t hunt anymore. But I do live in the country and I can certainly see why hunters and ranchers would have a serious problem with wolves.

The American Hunter has done more for wildlife and their well being than ANY group of people in the country. The Sierra Club, PETA, and certainly the group that started this petition, have not helped to feed any wildlife, while I personally have bought many pallets of food to feed the deer, but many animals live on that corn as well. I feed many more deer than I ever take. I an Endowment Member of NRA, because they carry on the fight to maintain our 2nd Amendment.

This is a posting I made from several other sites I’ve been on discussing this matter:
I took a few minutes and read through the CT state laws about firearms and pistols. Restrictive is putting it mildly. The perpetrator (who shall remain nameless because he doesn’t deserve the mention of his name in public ever again) broke at least three state laws before the slaughter…one was going onto any public school property where firearms are prohibited with the exception of police, parol and probation officers which meant everyone was unarmed except him, committed murder of his own mother and was in the possession of a pistol while under the age of 21.

Now how does more restrictive gun laws create a SAFER environment? In my humble opinion if an evil person suspects they might die before they commit their crime, isn’t that making a safer environment for those who are innocent? President Obama attempts to wax philosophically about changing our “environment”…so far I haven’t seen him giving up his Secret Service agents nor would I expect him to but don’t take away my right to protect my family from tyranny and anarchy.

Simply put, allow those who have a permit to carry concealed (like myself) to carry in a public school. When evil people think they will triumph without getting bloodied, evil people will try. Time to put a stop to evil people rather than disarm those who break no laws.

Then they better plan to put AT LEAST 50 million Americans on that list! Of course, with Federal agencies having ordered 1.1 billion rounds of ammo in the last 4 years, I suppose they are ready to deal with that many of us!
