Full O’Crap Alert: The gun-show loophole myth

Screen Shot 2013-01-31 at 9.30.54 AMFBI checks have to be fixed; new laws not needed on private gun sales

For the first time in 14 years, the CEO of the National Rifle Association (NRA), will testify on Capitol Hill. Wayne LaPierre’s appearance Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee underscores how seriously the nation’s largest gun-owners organization takes the latest assault on the Second Amendment.

Committee Chairman Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat, invited former Rep. Gabrielle Gifford’s husband, Mark Kelly, among others, to testify for the other side. In his prepared remarks, Mr. LaPierre will say, “When it comes to the issue of background checks, let’s be honest: Background checks will never be ‘universal’ because criminals will never submit to them.”

Currently, a gun owner who goes to a retail shop to purchase a gun from a licensed dealer is subject to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. The system, run by the FBI reviews criminal history, mental health and restraining-order records to weed out those who are legally barred from gun ownership.

The gun grabbers’ real goal has always been universal registration, and tracking every gun owner in the country would be a big step in that direction.

“The law already requires licensed gun dealers to run background checks, and over the last 14 years that’s kept 1.5 million of the wrong people from getting their hands on a gun,” said Mr. Obama, when he announced his gun-violence task force results on Jan. 16. “But it’s hard to enforce that law when as many as 40 percent of all gun purchases are conducted without a background check.”

Are you attempting sarcasm? Without an expensive and difficult to obtain federal permit you cannot buy a machine gun at a gun show, period paragraph. The people that hold and value those permits will not risk them to sell you or any non permit holder a machine gun. If you think otherwise, you are full of……; or smoking some righteous s—; drinkin the kool-aid, got your head up your…….. fill in the blanks!!

Anti-gun laws always work? Look at Chicago (Democrat Black hole [not racial])

  • GrizzMann

Is that buy or bye? Huge machine guns with knives? Machetes? Heavy Machine Guns weigh from 30lbs to 750lbs for a Gatling gun (not a true machine gun). Who would mount a bayonet to that?

  • Rustytruck

Obviously you’ve never been to a gun show, you can NOT buy a Machine gun anywhere in the United States of America, unless you have a special Federal gun dealer’s license. Machine guns have been outlawed for the geneeral public since the thirties, and that you can thank guys like Al Capone for, remember the “Tommy Gun” it’s the nickname for the Thompson sub-machine gun, no Bayonet, no big knives, just a gun when fully loaded with the drum magazine seemed to weigh abotu 30 pounds. Very heavy. Also another fact for you ignorant scaredy cat types, did you know these mass shootings of recent times were all commited by a mentally challenged Democratic liberal? You guys don’t know how to debate an issue, you just go off half-cocked and start getting violent because you didn’t get your way. Don’t believe me? Go check it out for yourself, it’s not us who do these insane things, it’s you guys. Take a Prozac and a beer and go relax in your back yard instead of what you’re thinking about. Now watch this guys, this guy will come back with a violent thought or a bunch of name-calling because he won’t know how to answer to this.

Timmy. are you 12 years old? Have you ever been to a gun show? Do you know the definition of a machine gun? Apparently the answer to the first question is yes and to of of the following the answer is NO. You have no idea what you are saying. Pure liberal, brainwashed and running your mouth, about something you know nothing about.
