NY Dem pleads with Republican not to share document proposing confiscation of guns

Screen Shot 2013-01-21 at 10.14.36 AM The State of New York this week passed some of the strictest gun control laws in the United States, effectively outlawing ‘assault weapons’ and limiting the size of magazines.

But if Republican Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin is to be believed, the New York State Democrats would have gone further if they could have. Much, much further.

In a video posted to his Facebook page, McLaughlin has shared the information of a ‘secret’ Democrat proposal not simply to make the purchasing of the crudely monikered ‘assault weapons’ illegal in New York, but also to engage in a mass confiscation programme, removing Americans’ weapons from their possession.

McLaughlin writes:

“Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential.

This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night”:

    or maybe he has exhausted himself trying to explain the truth and uphold the laws of the country to those who stubbornly ignore them, and is fed up with those who think they know best that they will violate people’s will and impose laws that have no place in the US.
    Maybe after 5 years of watching rights and freedoms erode despite heavy opposition by the public that he’s learned that these same people have no intention of listening to anyone while they accomplish their plans against the will of the people they were elected to serve.
    Maybe they’re the ones who are actually responsible for this “downward spiral to self destruction” and he’s just fed up with their obstinate insistence on ignoring the people of this country, and he realizes that no matter how high brow and intellectual he sounds, he will be ignored, so he may as well vent his frustrations at their actions.

  I completely forgot he said that. He said it while campaigning in 2008, didn’t he? It’s too bad that he hasn’t delivered on a single one of those promises made then. Maybe at least we’d be less bad off. I know he couldn’t have made anything any better, even if he WAS trying to, but at least it would be less worse than it is now.

When America grows some backbone and Civil War II starts, we can begin clean-up efforts and take this country back from the mulatto Hitler in the half-white house and the entitled leeches on the left.
