Obama Cracks Joke When Asked About Four Dead Americans In Benghazi

When Steve Kroft of CBS News finally got around to asking President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton about the terrorist attacks in Benghazi resulting in the death of four brave Americans, President Obama decided it would be a good time to go for laughs.

You know, I remember Bob Gates, you know, first thing he said to me, I think maybe first week or two that I was there and we were meeting in the Oval Office and he, obviously, been through seven presidents or something. And he says, “Mr. President, one thing I can guarantee you is that at this moment, somewhere, somehow, somebody in the federal government is screwing up.” (Laughter)

It’s disgusting to write-off the complete and total failure in Benghazi as nothing more than “someone in the federal government screwing up,” it’s even more enraging to do so in such a casual and flip way that is meant to engender laughter.

  Todd, you’ve obviously made up your mind that Obama can do no wrong. Even more than this clip, the administration’s entire attitude toward this Benghazi debacle has been an obscenity. If it had been George Bush “screwing up” like this, you and your fellow travelers would be giving birth to a cow about now. I’d say immediately pulling out the race card when somebody dares criticize your guy is the actual racism.

  That was a serious question by Steve Kroft and deserved a serious answer. A joke about many things could be appropriate, but not about the death of an ambassador and 3 military men.
  
  He was laughing about their death because that was the subject being addressed at the time. If the question would have been about his mother dying from cancer, do you think he would have cracked a joke? I don’t think so.

“He wasn’t laughing at their deaths”? Really Todd, then what was funny? The fact that somewhere in the government someone is screwing up so badly that people die? Ambassador Stevens didn’t have to die, he asked for help and got left out in the cold. Do you think his family and the families of those brave men deserve answers? I do and Hill saying ” What difference does it make” is a crime and an insult to those four men. It makes me sick and I think if it were your family you would think differently! We need a moratorium on you idiots saying everyone who thinks Obama stinks is a “racist”. Come up with something constructive because we deserve answers and solutions to the screwed up government!
