Some Radical New Year Suggestions for Our Esteemed Leaders …

I understand very well what you are saying and disagree with your whole theology, that is why I am here. I believe in the whole Bible, including the Law. By the grace of God I live by it to the best of my abilities, but I understand we live in the New Covenant, not the Old Covenant, thus the Spirit of the Law and the matters of the heart, matter far more than your letter first, spirit some where after that legalistic approach.

In the pages of the Bible there are several forms of government written and several ordained by God. You choose to advocate only one form, the outdated, impossible to run in this age from, called theocracy. I choose a different Biblically based form, the 3 branch form the Christian Founders of this country choose. This form can withstand a far greater measure of corruption, giving good men time to fix it. Whereas the form of government you advocate WILL fail in a generation or two, just as it did over and over in the Book of Judges

As I said I believe in God’s Law, but you are all Law and no Spirit, just as the Pharisees were. Anyone who listens to your sermons can hear this. The fact that you cannot help but throw out the stumbling stone of using “Yahweh” instead of “God” among people who you should be giving milk to, (if you really are seeking to reach out and not just get more merit badges), only goes to shows this clearer.

You advocate a government based on men’s interpretations of the Bible, thus we will be just as divided as the Church is today among the myriad of denominations. Even in your own “denomination” you are divide with hardly a church or a leader willing to be together with another. And now you expect this same setup can run a nation? Have you read the Book of Judges lately?

Theocracy as defined in the Webster’s dictionary:

“Government of a state immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided.”

This is the actually definition of the word “theocracy”. You can play word games all you want, but this is the true meaning. Christians being what they should be technically could run any form of government successfully, even a Communist from as the Pilgrims attempted when they first got here. But we don’t because we know most forms of government are more prone to corruption because of their set up, no matter who runs them. This is also true for the form of government you advocate. Israel couldn’t get it right when they had God talking directly to them, how do you think we can make last? Tell me, how are you better than Joshua, Caleb, Ehud etc? They couldn’t make it last so how is today going to work?

The Founders knew this and studied history well from the Bible through the Greeks and all the different governments of Europe as well. They realized we, as imperfect humans in a fallen world needed checks and balances, because God no longer talks to us directly. So they took the basic principles of our government directly from the pages of the Bible and started the greatest Nation on earth, ever. Noticed, they only started it, its up to each of us to continue to elect godly men to office as the Founders said must be done for this government to work. This is were things went wrong. We, the succeeding generations failed to keep up our end of the deal. Ted stop blaming men dead for 200 years now, for our problems and take responsibility for your own failure. Go do something that is productive instead of tearing down our country, Founders and Christian Heritage, we already have the Communist, Socialist and Humanist for that.

I never said I didn’t know. I have listen to your sermons for years and been to many of your camps. But sadly you have strayed far from balanced theology. Your last good sermon was “David; a Man after God’s Own Heart”.

Mr. Crockett, I’m just a little confused about something, and maybe you could help. I’ve visited Mr. Weiland’s website and have actually listened to his sermons as well as read his books. And, to make it perfectly clear, I am in no way a sycophant. Instead, I feel compelled to study a topic before I promulgate any opinion on a matter. It’s quite possible I might have missed something. Would you please point out a link where I can see for myself where Mr. Weiland is “all Law and no Spirit”? It’s obvious I also missed where he said ANYTHING claiming superiority to Joshua, Caleb, Ehud, or anyone else. It’s great to see you claim to believe in God’s law. But if you truly understand God’s law, then you must know that law and spirit are one. You can not have the letter of the law without the spirit of the law. The two are inseparable. According to Paul, the law itself is spiritual –”For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold [a]into bondage to sin.” (Romans 7:14)

You might also want to study European history and the philosophies that were in vogue during the era of our Revolution. Far from founding our country on Biblical and Christian principles, the framers instead riddled ALL of their writings with esoteric language steeped in the rituals of Freemasonry, heavily influenced by the Age of Enlightenment. Even the concepts of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness were derived from Humanism, not Christianity. All you have to do is study the French decree of 1789, The Declaration of the Rights of Man, and of the Citizen, to see Enlightenment principles at work. Thomas Jefferson was a U.S. Diplomat in Paris in 1789, and was influential to the writers of the French declaration. Their declaration, and ensuing revolution, was pure communism, long before that term was popular. And their declaration was just as anti-Christian as was ours.

It would also appear that you seem to know, or at least be familiar with Mr. Weiland. Would you please educate us concerning the “failure” for which you claim he refuses to take responsibility?

And, finally, would you please cite , in accordance with the law in which you claim to believe, two instances of Mr. Weiland doing ANYTHING that any Christian could construe as “tearing down our country”. Please take your time in answering. I patiently await your well reasoned, thoroughly articulated, and sufficiently referenced response.
