Congressman Gerry Connolly Compares Gun Owners to Stinger Missile Wielding Terrorists

Screen Shot 2013-02-08 at 6.14.13 PM Rep. Gerald Connolly, a Democratic congressman from Virginia, has argued to his constituents that Americans shouldn’t be allowed to wield Stinger missiles “capable of downing commercial aircraft” even though such weapons are already illegal.

“I have been accused of trying to dismantle the Second Amendment for simply asking whether high-powered, military-style semi-automatic firearms with large-capacity magazines — which were used in the D.C. sniper murders, the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, and the mass shootings in Aurora and Newtown — should be readily available to the general public,” Connolly wrote in a letter recently disseminated to constituents concerned about gun rights.

“Or for wondering whether the Second Amendment applies to weapons such as the FIM-92 Stinger missile launcher, a personal portable infrared homing surface-to-air missile platform capable of downing commercial aircraft.”

A Stinger missile launcher is already considered a banned “destructive device” under the Gun Control Act of 1968.

  There is no such thing as a domestic terrorist. Any citizen who commits a violent act is just a perpetrator. The term “domestic terrorism” is a phrase coined by the leftists to use as a means to demonize anyone who doesn’t support their agenda. The propaganda is getting pretty radical but, the “deers staring in the headlights” can’t see that. They will believe anything the left says. What a lazy bunch of slaves!!! They just worship Obama. Their adulation is just sickening. Well, let’s not let all that disturb us, since we have the example of how propaganda controlled the Germans during WWII, we shouldn’t be surprised. When I was growing up, we never thought it could happen here. How wrong we were when we thought our constitution would protect us.

The time is coming when, if you dare to defend yourself, you will be called a terrorist. Look at how the Nazi propaganda machine worked and how the Russians butchered millions. Look at how they manipulated the German public against the Jews and how the Russians systematically wiped out whole villages of people who didn’t support them. If you think that sort of thing can’t happen here, you are sadly mistaken.

The Left will advance with all this and our “beloved” Republican leaders in Congress will cave into everything. Oh, they will give token resistance but, will eventually either be bought off or just give into the pressure of a public brainwashed by the media. Be alert, when they think they have enough support from certain factions of the public they will try something. Whether or not they get by with it will determine the future of this country. This is very important!!!

I think some of our elected officials have gone off the deep end. I haven’t seen or heard of anyone being shot at or killed with a Stinger Missile. That is the most idiotic argument for gun control I have ever heard. Sen. Feinstein wants all of the law enforcement personnel and all the citizens in Calif. disarmed so the killer will realize that since no one else has a gun, he will just lay his down and surrender. Peirs Morgan rants about gun control and constantly refers to his home country, England. England controls guns and they have one of the highest crime rates in the world. Chicago has gun control for their City and has the highest murder rate. As we have just seen, innocent children cannot even walk down the street in safety. Why? Because only the bad guys have guns. Restricting the rights of legal, law abiding people will not stop murders.
