Coulter Battles Stossel, Calls Libertarians ‘P-ssies,’ And Gets Booed By Room Full Of Students

What do you get when you invite outspoken conservative firebrand Ann Coulter to debate outspoken libertarian John Stossel in front of an audience of 1,000+ libertarian students?

Fireworks, that’s what.

On tonight’s episode of Fox Business Network’s Stossel, Coulter got into a heated debate with Stossel and the students over a variety of social issues, in the process calling libertarians “pussies” and receiving lots of jeering for her remarks.

Once a year, Stossel (full disclosure: my former boss) tapes a show at the International Students for Liberty Conference in Washington, D.C. He typically brings on friendly libertarian guests, like presidential candidate Gary Johnson, Reason magazine star Nick Gillespie, Cato Institute VP David Boaz, or up-and-coming Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI).

But just to show that the 1,400+ students are not beholden to either major political party, a liberal and a conservative will also join the show and mix things up. This year, Coulter was that conservative. And boy, did things get heated.

First people have the right to put anything in their skin, and I mean anything they want. On the other hand, they do not have a claim on us to finance the results.

We also have very short memories. The drug laws really date from 1937 and Anslinger. Per usual American always like to have something to blame so they can demonize and persecute those with other tastes and views.

The secret would be to make them pay more for insurance like alkies and smokers: failing that make their care voluntary and not an obligation of the state.

I doubt that we would lose much work and we would save a lot of money on enforcement which would be better spend on treatment. If the they don’t get with the program, well the previous para applies.

As we said the in the 60s: the most unhealthy part of drug use is prison time.

The theme of Coulter’s message was 2 fold: prioritize the argument. Legalized pot v. Obama care, gay marriage v. Government cover up (bengazi for ex). Aligning with the republican candidate is a lesser of 2 evils than splitting a vote and getting a liberal (democrat) in office. It really is that simple.

circles, have been on public access TV Libertarian counterpoint and I can tell
you that unfortunately yes, it seems that all libertarians main drive for
freedom and liberty is the right to be stoned. The propaganda of the left in the 60s infused the libertarian movement and the basis
of the classical liberal position was that freedom and liberty is always tempered
by morality, the neo-left’s anti morality message unfortunately infused the Libers.
Ayn Rand’s position was against taking
drugs, nothing to debauch ones reason, and her essays against the hippy
movement are rousing, that today’s Libers want to fight for the very soma that
makes them easier to enslave is pathetic. That the Cato institute gave George Soros,
the self-affirmed neo-communist, an award is appalling. I met a woman who could
tell me all about Hemp, but could not tell me anything about the great
economists and thinkers of liberty. The libertarians would and could win a ton
of political contests if they would drop the two anti-moral standards they
cling to, legalizing drugs and prostitution, which the American people have
been traditionally against. Though in another 10 or 20 years that position will
be gone. Once pot is legalized the rank
and file Libers will fold like a house of high cards and go home to get high
and play computer games. Though Personally
