It’s Official: Stallone’s a Hypocritical Idiot on Gun Control

Sylvester Stallone says that despite his “Rambo” image and new shoot-em-up film “Bullet to the Head,” he’s in favor of new national gun control legislation.

Stallone supported the 1994 “Brady bill” that included a now-expired ban on assault weapons, and hopes that ban can be reinstated.

“I know people get (upset) and go, ‘They’re going to take away the assault weapon.’ Who … needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you’re carrying out an assault. … You can’t hunt with it. … Who’s going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?”

The 66-year-old actor, writer and director said he also hopes for an additional focus on mental health to prevent future mass shootings.

  Todd your a moron! Machine guns are already highly restricted…and simply unavailable to most citizens. The AR-15 that all the liberal anti-gun grabbers feel are so evil are not machine guns. They are semi-automatic rifles, meaning for every trigger squeeze you one shot. Machine guns are full auto or select fire meaning one pull off the trigger and you get round coming out till you stop holding the trigger or are out of rounds. As for not used for hunting… if your claim that the round is not sufficient to bring down large game your sadly mistaken. If that was the case I’m sure That 5.56mm round wouldn’t have been used in every major conflict since Vietnam.

    I wish people would stop talking about the restrictions on automatic weapons, as though — somehow — that’s okay and that the anti-self-defenses nuts are correct on that issue. Automatic weapons should be — as they once were — available to us without licenses, permits, or background checks. Unlike many gun “advocates”, Stallone knows the difference between fantasy and reality. He knows that while movies can deliver a message, it is also a form of escapism. Sometimes it’s just entertainment, nothing more.
While I too, believe in 2nd amendment rights, like anything in life, especially something as dangerous as guns or automobiles, need some sort of reasonable regulation. We can disagree on where to draw the line, but children should have the right to go to school without fearing for their life. I would think we would all want that.

The AR-15 is not an assault weapon. It is an “assault looking” rifle. Unlike the M-60, after which it is designed (a military weapon, for you folks less informed), it does not have a “burst” switch (3 shots fired in succession without having to re-trigger), nor does it have a “fully automatic” switch (empty clip with one pull and hold on trigger). No, it is a single shot weapon only. Hardly qualifies as an assault weapon.

They are capable of shooting real bullets just as well as blanks. I bought my AR10 (DPMS LR.308-L) specifically for hunting. I have tendon trouble in my elbows and shoulders, and my AR is extremely light weight (around 6 lbs.), is semi-auto with a ported barrel to mostly eliminate kick, it has a match grade trigger with a very light pull to help me not to flinch. It is extremely accurate.

If all of these people who make money off of massive killings in films were real serious, they would demand that they take their movies out of circulation. Let’s remember that many of these characters are ex-military, who on their own use weapons and kill hundreds. They should also return all the money they made on these films, including royalties, and payments on other paraphernalia. The weaker personalities among the Hollyweird “elite” can’t maintain their integrity after being soaked in the toxic, entitled, filthy rich, out-of-touch-with-reality “culture” of that cesspool. His movies are garbage now, so let him slip beneath the surface and disappear. Like many of you, I will not spend by money or time watching the cinematic work of traitors, no matter how talented they are in pretending on screen. The way things are going, I won’t be watching much of ANYTHING that comes out of that dump. The old movies were better anyway.
