Lessons from Putin’s Russia: Save the Traditional Family
I read last week that the Russian government is encouraging their people to have more sex. President Vlad the Impaler was even soliciting the assistance of the pop singing group Boyz to Men to encourage copulation among the masses. Of course, the story was happily reported by the main stream media, who love to report on anything to do with sex. But, there was no explanation for the motives behind the “push” from the Russians.
For that, one must do some research about birth rates and Soviet communist history. As it turns out, the Russians, like most modern nations are experiencing sub-replacement fertility rates. Birth rates are below the replacement rate. This should be good news to liberal minded Malthusians. Isn’t Mother Earth straining under the pressure of too many humans?
Actually, this is bad news for most modern societies, especially socialist welfare states. As it turns out, welfare societies like Russia, most of Europe and the U.S. are top heavy with entitled retirees, disabled and “disadvantaged” folks. More young workers are needed to fund these programs, as well as to capitalize on new technologies.
But, the brilliant social planners in Russia have been encouraging abortion since the Soviet communists came to power. The new Soviet aristocracy (politburo and academia) bought the “enlightened” propaganda from the likes of Malthus and Sanger of Planned Parenthood fame. But now, Vlad’s plans to dominate the world are in danger of failing for lack of manpower (Whoops! That should read “personpower”).
Homosexual partners cannot produce children. Aside from having a nation of illegitimate children, the traditional family structure remains as the only solution for perpetuating a nation or civilization in general. Debates about whether a traditional family structure is a healthier environment for raising children aside, the state has a vested interest in preserving the traditional family. The simple fact is that enough illegitimate children would not be produced to maintain an on-going labor force and there would not be enough willing adoptive parents to raise them if there were. Reality flies in the face of granting equal status to homosexual marriage, regardless of how devastating this may be to preserving the Democrat Party coalition and how frustrating it may be to libertine Paulista atheists who want to curry favor with pop culture in order to secure their own economic freedom.
What is the motivation behind the demand to legitimize homosexual marriage? I think the reasons are varied. The homosexual population is a very small minority (10 – 15% at most). Some of these may be motivated by a belief that homosexual marriage will confer some economic benefits.
I think that the case for homosexual rights being restrictive is weak. Most simply want society’s stamp of approval for their perverse behavior. They’re simply ashamed of the choice that they’ve made.
The majority of the support for homosexual marriage comes from liberal Democrats. Politicians see homosexuals as an easily exploited voting bloc. I think that most voters who support homosexual marriage do so out of a sense of liberal guilt. They see homosexuals as another oppressed minority deserving of justice.
There is a small group of progressives who have an ulterior motive; an agenda if you will. This group is overly represented in academia and in the mainstream media. They are in a position to abet the liberal Democrat politicians and manipulate guilt laden liberals. These are the people that hate America, for a variety of reasons, (e.g.: our present President who hates America because of his father.) They see America as the root of all the world’s problems. They hate freedom and love government control. They’re Marxists. They already control the media, our educational system and the government. They are well on their way to achieving their objective. Their agenda is to destroy America and rebuild it into a socialist utopia controlled by them.

The thesis is that America can be destroyed from within by chipping away at the fundamental institutions and values that have made the country strong and great. That’s why they are doing their best to eliminate our God given rights to freedom of speech, free expression of worship and our right to defend ourselves. That is why Obama is attacking the church and pushing for homosexual marriage. The traditional family is the foundation of our culture. Destroy the family and you destroy our culture. Destroy the culture and you destroy the nation.
