The Democrats in the accompanying picture have effectively killed Jessica’s Law in the state of Colorado. The reason for this, they stated, is that the state already has enough sanctions against child rapists and molesters.
For those of you not familiar with the law, Jessica’s Law mandates long prison sentences for child rapist and child molesters. There are a bunch of convoluted circumstance and specifics that I cannot even pretend to understand, that probably make the law useless, but the gist of the law is that if a criminal molests or rapes a child under the age of 12 they get a mandatory 25 years in prison. Is it a perfect law, probably not, but these people’s supporting it would be a step in the right direction. Who set the age and why is a big mystery to me, but hey, it’s better than nothing.
Mark Ferrandino, Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives, refused to put Jessica’s Law up for a full vote. Curtis Hubbard, editorial page editor for the Denver Post is sticking up for Ferrandino. On a recorded interview with Bill O’Reilly he said “in addition to their sentences they are given life probation”… Life probation? Life… Probation??? Are you freaking kidding me?
We can mock and make fun of these idiots all that we want, but this is simply not funny at all. No laughing matter. It is terribly sad that lawmakers and some people out there care more about the civil rights of child rapists than they do for the safety of our children.
Are you getting this? These people are opposing long prison sentences for child molesters and child rapist. Is that coming across clearly? Think about what I am saying here, think about what the people have done to innocent children. Our children are not being protected by the government!
I don’t care what side you stand on politically, this is an issue that affects us all! I’m not here selling any political party’s bull****t. I’m just a father that does not like in any way, shape or form what he is seeing from our elected leaders!
Here are a few recent examples that were featured on Talking Points with Bill O’Reilly:
This man above (Delbert Wallace Stiewart) raped a 13 year old girl for months – MONTHS. He received a two year prison sentence. Two years in prison for raping a young girl during a period of several months! How much are you willing to bet that this man is not with the general population in prison? Odds are that our tax dollars are paying for his private, safe cell in prison.
Jeffrey Bigham molested an 11 year old boy over one thousand times, his jail sentence? One year! For every day he serves in prison, he molested the boy more times than that. Do the math: 1,000 times, 365 days in a year. Does that seem fair to you? Doesn’t seem very fair to me.
Speaking of fairness, here is a story that I can fully stand behind! I’m sure you guys heard about the man in Texas who beat another man to death with his bare hands! You know why? He found this man raping his daughter. He made his way to where the little girl was screaming and struck the rapist several times. The father miraculously then did the right thing and called 911, he was heard on a 911 call saying “I found him raping my daughter and I beat him up to get him off of her. I don’t know what to do he’s dying on me”. Well, I can’t say I feel bad about this one.
I am aware that some people will be against something like this happening. I know quite a few people that would say to me “It’s not the father’s right to judge and execute”, and as much as I despise your view, I can sort of respect it. Though, make no mistake about it, I DO NOT AGREE with you at all. Life is precious and all that, but this man deserved what he got as far as I’m concerned, and man am I thankful that Texas allows the use of lethal force!
Let me ask you child rapist advocates a simple question: If you knew that this man would be free in one or two years after destroying your young, innocent, baby girl or boy, would you not do the same as this father did if you caught the man in the act? Mind you, I don’t think the father set out to kill him, but my question to you is what would YOU do if you walked in and saw a someone raping your baby? I know what I would most certainly do, but what would you do?
Well the Sheriff in Shiner, Texas refused to charge the man, this was declared an act of self-defense on behalf of his daughter. I support them 1000%! These are men of honor! A jury of twelve also agrees with me and the Sheriff and DID NOT indict the man. Use of deadly force is allowed in the case of a rape in progress, thank the Lord for that. The rest of the country needs to follow the lead here. What other possible action could we be expected to take?
Look, for you life-is-precious types out there, I’m not asking permission to kill every rapist with our bare hands, all I’m trying to say here is that our children should be better protected than they currently are by the law. A child rapist (or any rapist for that matter) should never get only 2 years of prison time for such a heinous crime. That’s a ridiculous joke of a sentence and it fails our children. The ones that were victimized now, and the ones that will probably be victimized by the same dirt bag later..
I am willing to bet the farm that if I slap a gay man in the face and say “that is for you being gay”, then I would spend much more time in prison than just two years over what would be labeled a “hate” crime. As if raping a child is a “love” crime? This matter needs to be addressed.
