Bill O’Reilly: Thumping ‘Bible Thumpers’

The loving thing to do is dissuade people from walking the path to destruction, not accommodating it!

These are issues worthy of debate, including the issue of morality, its influence or lack thereof, and the foundations of morality in western culture, thanks to Judeo-Christian traditions. Those traditions established the ideas of inclusivity and tolerance. The Left in all its manifestations works to destroy inclusivity with rabid intolerance, a real threat to liberty, which is what this fight is really about.

Instead O’Reilly wants us to admit defeat and bid Christians farewell.

With the “Bible thumper” remark, O’Reilly insults the tens of millions of Christians in this country who have no interest in simply thumping a Bible. For the most part they are good people who wisely look to Scripture for wisdom. They share that wisdom with a sincere concern for individuals and the larger society.

The ones most often sued and targeted for abuse and persecution from homosexuals are Christians. Instead of insulting them Bill, how about stopping the spin, and defending the good guys? Stop the spin, and admit the homosexual lobby is much more than some innocent effort to legalize their “marriages”.

PS: Jesus himself (the Living Word) endorsed traditional marriage (look it up), and called the entire Word of God the truth. I guess he was just a Bible thumper too, huh?

PPS: O’Reilly brings the essential problem into focus. Without God at the center, conservatism becomes an abandoned building.
