Cho’s Chains and Klebold’s Correspondence Still Matter

Luckily, one of the neighbors, bothered by the loud music playing inside Holmes’ apartment at midnight, chose not to open the door to it (even though it seemed to her to be unlocked) thus leaving the grenades-and-napalm booby-traps unexploded.

Lanza, we have learned, studied mass killers exhaustively, compiling research, massive spreadsheets, and memorabilia of the worst of the worst, in hopes that he could top all of them.  Experts have exclaimed that Lanza’s intellectual preparation for his attack alone (not to mention his tactical prep) amounted to a doctoral-level academic project.

While being interviewed by the blatantly unreasonable and hysterical Soledad O’Brien last December, John Lott pointed out the numerous hazards of gun-free zones, and the cases in which they have resulted in disaster.

Most eye-opening (but completely wasted on the utterly dishonest and obstinate O’Brien) was the information Lott provided about Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold’s activities leading up to his murder spree with classmate Eric Harris:  Klebold had actually been lobbying against a bill before the Colorado legislature which would allow concealed-carry, writing letters to state legislators and imploring them not to pass it!  Lott asserts that Klebold was particularly against, and upset by, the provision in the bill which would allow concealed-carry on school property.  Ever heard anyone in the media talk about that??

The day Klebold and Harris chose for their killing spree, April 20th, 1999, was the same day that the Colorado legislature was to vote on (and as it turned out, passed) that concealed-carry bill.  You tell me.

Are all those above descriptions the thoughts and actions of people who didn’t care whether their plans were thwarted at the outset by an armed moviegoer, student, or school staff member (or police/security for that matter)?  No, they are the thoughts and actions of determined, calculating psychopaths who did care whether good guys with guns would be closing in on them too fast to allow them to prolong their orgies of violence, and who really went out of their way to buy themselves time and space.

They consciously chose and even chained-off their gun-free killing zones.

Next Tuesday marks the six-year anniversary of the infamous, horrific massacre of unarmed innocents by Cho in Blacksburg, Virginia on April 16th, 2007.  Next Saturday marks the 14th anniversary of the Columbine bloodbath.
You can be sure that the gun-grabbers in the media’s professional Left will seize on the occasions to announce the anniversaries, and to pounce with renewed frenzy, ramping up their rhetoric and interrupting our spokespeople that much more, all over the cable news networks.

My suggestion is that we be completely ready for them, for once, at that critical juncture.
