Capitalism is Not the Problem, Communism is Not the Solution

The essence and genius of American small business capitalism — the heart of our prosperity and freedom — is the embrace of morality-driven business interactions inspired by the Judeo-Christian tradition. One of the best places to find evidence of this is Rotary. Millions of capitalists meet weekly, worldwide, to reinforce the values that guide them, not only to conduct business honorably, but to forward global philanthropy as well.

Read about the Rotary Four-Way Test of Truth here.

Although we are created equal, there never has been and never will be equality in terms of outcomes, the demand of social justice advocates like Obama and Van Jones. No amount of central planning, arm twisting or firing squads will achieve equal outcomes, unless we are talking about 99.9 percent of the population ending up dead or starving.

The forever mistake made by secularists and leftists is relying on human wisdom and man-made systems to modify human behavior. It’s akin to expecting the inmates to run a model prison. Only the intervention of a transcendent authority — the God of love — can modify, even transform the selfish heart of stone.

Allowing Him to do so is the key to justice in all our ways, including economic activity.
