Imagine the dark truth these strange days: what we do see is only a small portion of the evil operating throughout the world; what is to be revealed will be even more stunning; and what remains unseen is much worse.
Early this week there were Tea Party protests in front of IRS offices nationwide. The protests were given scant coverage by mainstream media. However, those lawful, peaceful assemblies did attract the attention of the Department of Homeland Security. Paul Joseph Watson at Infowars.com reports watchful DHS agents were fully armed. He notes DHS was created to protect Americans from terrorists. It was not commissioned to protect the IRS from citizens. DHS has become the poster child of bureaucratic despotism, leading the way for other federal departments suffering from ‘”fundamental transformation“.
Janet Napolitano, head of DHS, has made it very clear the U.S. government is fully armed and prepared to deal with domestic disturbance, singling out conservatives, just like the IRS has done, an IRS now bolstered by 16,000 new agents poised to enforce ObamaCare. Joy.
This morning before the House Oversight Committee investigating the IRS scandal, a key IRS official refused to answer questions after giving a statement insisting she is eternally professional and innocent. IRS official Lois Lerner, suspected of orchestrating unlawful IRS scrutiny of conservative and Tea Party groups, refused to answer questions, invoking her right to avoid self-incrimination. A career public servant refusing to answer questions about her disservice compounds the disservice after giving disinformation, disrespectfully. Fabulous.
House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) allowed Lerner to “testify” in a statement. She claimed she committed no wrongdoing. He then allowed her to remain silent, deciding not to question her at all. Later, he claimed she could not remain silent having broken silence, this morning, and in prior hearings. These confusions came on the heels of revelations the Inspector General’s full documentation had not been made available to Republican members of the Oversight Committee. Who is responsible for this ongoing swirl of chaos and confusion?
One Republican congressman expressed outrage Lerner was allowed to slide, prompting applause from the gallery. A Democrat congressman expressed outrage Lerner was clamming up, predicting such stonewalling and cover up can only lead to a criminal investigation.
All this is occurring along with the breaking news the administration was fully aware of the IRS scandal long ago but moved to keep a lid on the story until after the 2012 election, link here.
