Ohio State Commencement Address Confirms: Fight Obama, Save America

340px-Ohio_State_University_text_logo_unified.svgConsider what Obama told the graduating class at Ohio State last weekend.  Pretending he is a reincarnation of JFK, Obama proclaimed:

“ . . . as citizens, we understand that it’s not about what America can do for us, it’s about what can be done by us, together, through the hard and frustrating but absolutely necessary work of self-government.”

He has spent four years and several trillions of dollars taking government out of the hands of citizens!  We are supposed to believe him when he says he is the champion of self-government?

Here is a partial list of Obama’s kingly achievements enacted in the name of “self-government:”

> ObamaCare: the first step toward a complete government takeover of healthcare, opposed by a substantial majority of Americans from day one.  This is self-government?
> Public funding of abortion: government spending taxpayer money to kill babies in the womb, despite large majorities standing opposed?  Did Americans do this, or is this the work Obama’s government?
> Efforts toward gun control: again, opposed by the vast majority, yet Obama pushes for destruction of the 2nd Amendment, and he is the champion of self-government?
> Record entitlement spending creating citizen dependency, hardly the work of one interested in promoting self-government.
> Serial moves to override states’ rights, contrary to the 10th Amendment, centralizing power in D.C., a complete contradiction of the constitutional principle of separation of powers, a pillar of self-government.
> Forcing a homosexual agenda in civilian and military life against the will of the majority.
> Criminalizing faith traditions embraced by the majority, either by marginalizing commonly held beliefs or prosecuting those who hold them, all in the name of confronting hate crimes or preserving “religious tolerance.”
> Preferring minorities over majorities at every turn, an executive most interested in the politics of division and revenge and retribution.
> Serial violations of the Constitution, a demonstration of disrespect for the document most successful in establishing and preserving self-government.

Yes, it is obvious Mr. Obama’s priority is the preservation of self-government.

Can anyone with a shred of sense suggest Mr. Obama has anything in common with the Founders, men who promoted limited government as a prerequisite to liberty?

Further, this “President” told the students to fear and reject anyone who warns about tyranny.  Of course.  Why would he want them to be wise to his affections?  Is there anything more American than fighting tyranny in the name of preserving liberty?
