Ammo Grabbers on the Loose: CA Senator Calls for Background Checks and Fees for Ammo Purchases

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) The state’s gun control laws could soon include a $50 fee and a background check to buy bullets.

Sen. Kevin deLeon (D-Los Angeles) wrote the bill requiring the fee, along with background checks by the California Department of Justice that would prohibit sales of ammunition to felons and the mentally ill.
