HAIL SECESSION! – ‘North Colorado’ Is On To Something …God-Willing!

Sadly and ironically, the very thing America’s founders fought to prevent on a national scale is taking place everywhere on a state-wide scale. And it has to stop. The city must stop controlling the country, hands-down.

Speaking of “ironic,” this is actually a plea for diversity. Ahh, yes, “diversity,” that all too-often nauseating term that has become so due to overuse and exploitation, and has come to define our age … But diversity – true diversity – is what I am advocating; people being defined by their culture and beliefs, their religions and customs living alongside one another, not against each other. As more and more people the world-over, not just in America, move to “population centers”, the tyrannizing of city upon country has to stop. That is why, although doomed to failure, I support the eight counties in Colorado seceding. May it result in a fifty-first state, or even spark a movement that leads to 510 states, I support it.

This sentiment of mine has been echoed somewhat before in other true commentaries I have written (“It’s the Culture, Stupid!” — What the War On Guns Is Really About), but in the American experience, it ultimately boils down to the same theme: the subjugation of those knuckle-dragging, rural Neanderthals (and majority Christian, don’t forget!) to the oh-so-enlightened and self-proclaimed intellectuals of urbanity who know what is better for others than what those “others” know for themselves. It is the most slithering, encroaching tyranny of our time, if not all time. And it has to stop, somehow, somewhere, sometime.

So I bless those Colorado counties pressing for secession. Although they won’t succeed (sadly), I wish they did. I grew up in the country, but now live in the city. And trust me, no concrete-dwelling latte-licker deserves to tell the farmer, the machinist, the fisherman or whomever how to live or whatever urban–born collectivist nightmare policies by which to abide.

May God bless the residents of Colorado fighting against the tyranny of their urban-based overlords. They are certainly not alone in their frustration and anger. I am a fish out of water here in Washington, D.C. I know these country people; I grew up among them; and I will forever be connected to them. God bless them, no matter what.

Non calcabit super me!
