2016: Shaping Up To Be Another Progressive Yawnfest

This should be a simple process. Make sure that the man or woman you encourage to run is a proponent of limited government and fiscal conservatism. Confirm that they understand the importance of individual rights over communal rights. And reiterate the foundational truth which our forefathers plainly knew, that our Constitutional republic was designed for a moral, God-fearing populace. It is “wholly inadequate” for the governance of anything else.

3) Righteous Indignation – Finally, we don’t want a principled candidate with guts, solely. We want someone who’s as ticked off as we are. We’re over-taxed, over-regulated, over-looked, and over-wrought. We want someone who understands this and will hammer the S.O.B’s who are responsible with rhetorical haymaker after haymaker. Let the papers call them bellicose, let them talk about “contentious candidates” until they’re blue in the face. Leave the nice, old men in the Senate and give us a fire-breather. We want someone who will kick some tail, take some names, and then go back for some more kicking.

If you find a man or woman with the above characteristics, the base will solidify behind you and we will take back the White House. We delivered you the day in 2010 when we had a good slate of candidates. We will do it again, if you cultivate and encourage another crop. All of the potential candidates have one (or maybe two) of these characteristics, but not all. Ted Cruz looks like he might have all 3, but there is the Soros Death Squads to deal with, so you better find backup.

A word of warning, if you fail to mount a serious candidate this season, we’re quits. We’ve fought nausea to vote for your “electable” candidates the past two cycles and lived to regret it. Find someone who represents Main Street, who’s a gutsy, principled fighter or we’re going to exit your Big Tent faster than Chris Christie heading to a Barack Obama Kissing Booth.

Luke Hamilton

Luke Hamilton is classically-trained, Shakespearean actor from Eugene, Oregon who happens to be a liberty-loving, right-wing, Christian constitutionalist. When not penning columns for ClashDaily.com, Hamilton spends his time astride the Illinois-Wisconsin border, leading bands of liberty-starved citizens from the progressive gulags of Illinois to [relative] freedom. Hamilton is the creative mind/voice behind Pillar & Cloud Productions, a budding production company which resides at www.PillarCloudProductions.com. He owes all to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whose strength is perfected in his weakness.
