Abortion Superstar — A Monument for Wendy Davis?

Pro-Aborts specialize in tapping every emotional gimmick – many of which would apply more arrestingly to their cause’s never-born victims.

“My back hurts,” confided Davis at the end of her wearying day – poor baby.

Oops. “Baby” — perhaps not the best choice of words in this case.

davis_ActionActually, one of SB-5’s objectives is to spare those in-utero from the physical agony of abortion. Some analysts frame measures like it, already law in a dozen states and recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, “fetal pain abortion bans”. Abundant medical evidence indicates the human fetus capable of experiencing torturous pain by twenty weeks. Shredded limb from limb while inside mommy, scalded by the demonic chemical soup frequently used in these procedures — that’s gotta smart.

But, hey, Joan of Abort had a backache — let’s keep the focus on that.

Texas’ pro-life Governor, Rick Perry — who has acquitted himself one of the true heroes in this squalid business — is attracting daggers for pointing out the contradiction between Wendy Davis’ life experience and her redoubtable baby-slaying advocacy. “She was the daughter of a single mother, ” he informed the National Right to Life Convention gathering in Grapevine, TX.  “[A] teenaged mother herself. She eventually graduated from Harvard Law School and served in the Texas Senate …  [It’s] unfortunate that she hasn’t learned from her own example.”

Wendy Davis’ personal successes model, rather convincingly, that abortion isn’t the only option when a baby presents a daunting challenge.  Texas’ Chief Exec had the crust to mention it.

Awkward.

By the way, that “unruly mob” (Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst’s words) which Davis apparently fired up and which piggy-backed on her pro-infanticide coup? It  brings to mind another historically ruthless movement which boiled over demanding misguided “rights”, was characterized by an alarming and lawless pack mentality and terminated in widespread and wanton bloodletting. Setting up shop in Paris two centuries ago, it finally devoured itself, ushering in still more tyranny.

In multitudinous ways, Leftism doggedly remains the same.

Here’s a monument to Wendy Davis I could get behind: imagine a sculpture depicting a petite blonde rocking brightly colored footwear. In one hand she clutches the ragged remains of an infant, in the other a dripping butcher’s knife. We’d call it “Beast from Texas”. Yeah, that’d work.

Where do I send my contribution?
