Today’s Tip for Conservatives: Never Argue With an Idiot

A lot of drama has been going on in the US this week. We had Texas ban abortion after 20 weeks and George Zimmerman has been exonerated by a jury of his peers, thus validating Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law. I’d chalk these two events as scores for the good guys. Babies won and the Constitution was upheld. But try explaining all of this to the idiots. I dare any of you.

I will give you an example. Let’s just say you are at a function, and it is supposed to be fun. Let’s just say you start talking to a stranger and you and that person have a pretty good discussion and the topic goes from working out, to vacations, to fashion and to past work. Let’s just suppose you are asked what you did for a living before you were married and you say you worked for a congressman. Just suppose the person you are conversing with asks which party and, of course, you are honest and say the Republican Party. Just suppose the person you are conversing with suddenly begins to have convulsions and turns into a complete nut.

Just suppose they accuse the entire GOP of racism and imply by their accusations that you are also racist. Just suppose when you, after picking up your slack jaw from the floor, counter that’s not true, they counter with the GOP’s war on women or some other leftist meme. Just suppose this all happened as an example. Given the example above what would one do?

Mark Twain once said “Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.” And George Carlin said this: “Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” So, in looking at the situation above and realizing there is only one course to follow, one has to walk away. It is all a smart rational person can do.

It is hard to imagine ever being so emotional about an issue that one literally decides that they immediately hate the person they just met. Mind you, the above is an example of a conversation that could occur at any time for any of us and probably has for all of us at one time or another. However, the problem is these people who become unhinged and go from zero to 90 in a millisecond the moment they hear the word Republican vote, and are among us.

For instance, a real example of leftist insanity is the pack of raging hyenas in Austin this last week during Texas’ debate over banning abortions after 20 weeks. The above conversation could have occurred with any one of those pad throwing lovelies. We live in an age when carrying bricks to throw at State Senators is at least acceptable by a certain percentage of the American public, as well as other ammo consisting of jars of feces, paint, and feminine products, etc.

All because of a mythological “War on Women” that is supposed to be going on. Now imagine any of these people at a function where acting like a civilized human being is to be expected and then bring up a past filled with glorious conservative moments and watch them devolved from an adult human being you can actually take outside in public to screeching baboon. One has to wonder how we will ever get our problems solved if this is how at least a third of our population behaves when confronted with something they disagree with.

Then we have the Trayvon Martin fans. It doesn’t matter to these squirrels that he was high, had a back pack filled with stolen goods and initiated the fight with Zimmerman. The leftist meme the so called reporters at CNN and MSNBC created was a lie in order to foster the idea George Zimmerman was white and a racist and he shot Trayvon Martin because he was white and a racist. None of that is true, but every leftist yipping for Zimmerman’s head will not even allow for a rational discussion.
