Judge Arthur Tarnow: Moral Compass Broken

Prosecutors were seeking 30 years. Tarnow gave them half that, grudgingly. According to The Voice,

You get 30-year sentences for second-degree murder, drug kingpins, major (crimes) that are much more severe crimes and much more severe sentences.

If he’s not going to deal with it (the cause of his behavior) in 15 years, he’s not going to deal with it in 30 years.

Tarnow implied he would have given Austin a lower sentence but noted, “Congress has decided it’s a very serious offense. I cannot second-guess Congress.

Possession of child pornography isn’t a severe crime? On what planet? Nearly ten thousand images doesn’t make one an addict? Not only enjoying, but paying for, the images of a child’s rape and torture doesn’t make one a pedophile?

Thank you, Bill Clinton, for giving the state of Michigan this gem. I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised. You and Tarnow apparently bought your moral compass from the same place.
