Then there are the race baiters. One recent example is Oprah Winfrey, who compared the death of Trayvon Martin to the death of Emmett Till (the latter being killed for allegedly whistling at a white woman in 1955 Mississippi). When one examines both incidents, he or she should be able to conclude that there is no comparison. Oprah is just trying to stir up racial tensions, just like any other liberal would do. She has even been criticized by Stacey Dash (who was labeled a race traitor after pledging her support for Mitt Romney in last year’s Presidential Election).
And what about these so-called race traitors? Do you really believe that every African-American has pledged their loyalty to Obama? I don’t think so. In fact, there are African-American conservatives out there. The same can be said for those of other races.
The days of segregation and discrimination ended over half a century ago. As Americans, we need to come to terms with that and stop living in the past.
