Ban The Burqa, Islam’s Female Jail

More often the girls were under orders from their fathers and uncles and brothers, and even their male classmates. For the boys, transforming a blue-jeaned teen-age sister into a docile and observant ‘Muslim’ virgin was a rite de passage into authority, the fast track to becoming a man, and more important, a Muslim man … it was also a license for violence.” ~Jane Kramer, “Taking the Veil” (The New Yorker Magazine)

So what’s the big deal … some women dress like they’re going to a hoedown (or ho down) … some like they’re blind … some like they have an umbilical cord to Vogue. Fashion is fashion, to each her own, right? Not exactly … because in the case of Burqas: It’s not fashion … it’s fascism.

Fascism? Indeed … the body of laws from which the Burqa ( a full body covering, revealing only the eyes  [and sometimes not]) emanates … is known as Sharia Islamic Law. It is the political and religious system by which Muslims and kafir (unbelievers) must live in Islamic countries. It is a totalitarian system that controls ALL movement: public and personal. The primary sources for Sharia are the Quran, the Hadiths (sayings of the prophet) and the Sunnah (traditions of the prophet). They are all demeaning, controlling and misogynistic. A call to modesty turns into a personal female jail, under which women are forced to live in public.

The reasons to ban this oppressive personal prison, are many. Here are a few for your perusal:

— Domestic violence is not only common but supported by Sharia Law. The Burqa allows that crime to be concealed. Places like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, where the Burqa is forcibly donned by women, domestic violence is close to 90%.
— In areas where wearing the Burqa is enforced, women are warned that NOT donning it will put them in danger of sexual assault … for which THEY would be responsible for the consequences. One cleric said that if a Muslim woman uncovers her hair, and is raped … she deserved it. Another said that it’s like putting red meat in front of an animal. (hmmm, what is he admitting about Muslim men?)
— Women who don’t where the Burqa (infidels) are culpable if they are raped, because they lack modesty.
— Muhammad said Muslim men should shroud their chattel (women are like chattel) head to toe, but not cover their face and hands. Thus, it is clear that any woman who covers her face entirely is making a political statement, not a religious one.
— A Burqa is part of Sharia Law, which must take precedence over the Laws of any land. It is a Supremacist ideology and cannot allow any law above Sharia. The Burqa is a foot in the door for Sharia. That’s in violation of Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution: The Supremacy Clause.

Burqas are a threat to national security. As Daniel Pipes put it, “one cannot have faceless persons walking the streets, driving cars, or otherwise entering public spaces” where it can be used “as a disguise for criminal and terrorist purposes.”

There are several countries in Europe that regulate the wearing of a Burqa. Turkey prohibits it, but that could change in the near future as their parliament turns more and more Islamist. And France has banned it. But the US has not spoken vociferously or clearly on the subject. And, considering that for either the reasons of fear or affinity many of our leaders have for Islam, if the people do not speak up on this NOW, we will find ourselves in a vicious tug-of-war with Constitutional patriots on one side … and Islamists and Taqiyya-deceived/ craven leaders on the other.

Since we can see this coming down the road … shouldn’t we head it off at the prayer rug?

It’s time for individual States to ban the Burqa. It’s Islam’s Female Jail. And we need to act before it Sharia Creeps it’s way under our Constitution…

Shalom through strength…
