War-Weary Citizens + Cowardly Leaders = A Nuclear Iran

As the Iranian delegation swooped into NYC on Monday, they were met with open arms and a big verbal wet-one by the Obama administration. What? No rolling out of the Red prayer rug? Quite puzzling…

What I find incredible is the denseness of the minds of those in this administration and their ilk. The sheer naiveté concerning religious zealots, such as the Iranian Islamic Republic … and their complete and utter inability to even imagine or believe that the Mullahs (or their minions) would lie about their intentions or the facts on the ground …. is stunning.

It might be quaint or cute if they were children … but these are leaders of the free world, who have our national security in their fumbling little digits … and that’s no laughing matter.

The facts about the Islamic regime and history of their nuclear program are simple and easily accessible to all that desire to know the truth (sadly, this group doesn’t include this administration):

— The Iranian Nuclear Program first began under the Shah in the 1950s, as part of the “Atoms For Peace” program under Eisenhower. This program developed as part of “Operation Candor”, to inform the American public on the perils and possibilities of a nuclear future. It was a propaganda element of the Cold War strategy of containment.

— The Shah had a clandestine nuclear weapons program that was disbanded by the Ayatollah Khomeini, who considered such weapons forbidden under Islamic Law. Small scale research into nuclear weapons may have restarted during the Iran-Iraq War, and underwent major expansion following the Ayatollah’s death in 1989.

— In the ’90s, Iran backed away from the West and looked to Russia and China as their sources for resources in their quest. They signed several deals with Russia, which included an Arms Deal (1994), a Military Accord (2001) and a Nuclear Fuel Supply Deal (2005).

— The Supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has been determined as a Pitbull to hasten the return of the 12th Imam or Mahdi “predicted” in their Hadith (traditions of the prophet). His return would be preceded by global chaos … which they hope to bring with their nuclear program.

— The Mullahs are not governed by Global, man-made laws … but rather ONLY by Islamic Sharia Law, from which they practice Taqiyya (lying for the sake of Islam) in order to prevent any hindrance to their nuclear plans. So, all agreements made are moot and are used as a bargaining tool for more time to continue their pursuit.

Enter the world’s Foreign Policy farceur, King Obama. On the floor of the UN General Assembly this week, he said that Iran’s new President Rouhani was given a mandate by the Iranian people for more moderate policies at home and abroad. That would be difficult since the so-called election was a wee bit manipulated. The only “Iranian people” Rouhani listens to are the 39 members of the Expediency Discernment Council, hand-picked by Khamenei. 

What the Iranian voters get instead of the democratic process is … Selected candidates. Manipulated elections. Same crazed regime and ghoulish goals.

Intellectual laziness is never an excuse for ignorance … and does NOT work for the cause of freedom. Fighting any war, when the defending countries refuse to name the enemy, emboldens those enemies and is a recipe for defeat.

And that is the state in which we find ourselves. Craven Leaders and no citizen support due to war-weariness. These are all the elements necessary for evil to prosper and the innocent to perish.

Is this where the “city upon a hill” should be? For the Free World’s sake … I pray not.
