Obama held a press conference, an event that has become an emetic to most of us. This one was necessary because the flames of the crash-and-burn Affordable Care Act are rising up to burn his tukis.
Thankfully, CBS News’ Major Garrett threw jet fuel on the fire over Obama’s failed “you can keep it” health insurance promise.
Garrett said:
You said while the law was being debated, “If you like your plan, you can keep it.” You said after the law was signed, “If you like your plan, you can keep it.” Americans believed that, when you said that over and over.
Do you not believe the American people deserve a deeper, transparent accountability from you as to why you said that over and over when your own statistics published in the federal register alerted your policy staff, I presume you, the fact that millions of Americans would in fact probably fall into the very gap you’re trying to administratively fix now?
Obama’s response was priceless, paltering poop: “There is no doubt that the way I put that forward unequivocally ended up not being accurate.” (Translation: I lied, but not shrewdly enough) “It was not because of my intention not to deliver on that commitment and that promise. (Translation: I had no intention of keeping my word, because it was … a lie).”
My Gosh … this man said thirty-six times that if Americans like their insurance, they could keep their insurance. And every time the lies left his lips, they apparently left his mind, as well. POOF!
His Job Approval Rating is in the toilet. And so is his credibility. A real man would have fessed up to the truth concerning his deception AND his failure. But in this case, all I can say is: God Save the Queen (the mendacious one in Mom Jeans)!
