Incompetance or Intentional? The Troubling ‘New Normal’

This week, the Obama regime and their cheerleaders in the media treated us to a chorus of praise over last month’s unemployment numbers. A 7% unemployment rate and 200,000 new jobs were hailed as a sure sign of a robust recovery. Informed citizens had to depend upon the alternative media to inform them that 41% of the new jobs were government jobs and that the rate is artificially low because over 1 million Americans have permanently dropped out of the labor force. The major media will not report that the percentage of Americans working is at the lowest rate in over 35 years while more are dependent upon welfare. Is this the new normal?

The imposition of the Affordable” Care Act is causing more Americans to be uninsured and for the insured to be paying more. The availability of medical care, in terms of practitioners and facilities, is declining.

We also learned this week that the gap between rich and poor in America continues to grow. The poverty rate is the highest it has been since before the Great Society. Of course, the regime media has greeted this news with more calls for socialist redistribution schemes. It is as if more of the same medicine that we’ve been fed since FDR will solve the problem.

It reminds me of the history of Detroit. Should we believe that another half century of liberal Democrat policies will fix what is wrong with Detroit? Does Detroit reveal the future of America? The economic misery index for the majority of Americans is becoming unbearable for many.

How are we doing with regard to the freedom index? We know that big brother NSA is spying on all of us. But, of course, they’re keeping us safe. The DHS is loading up with ammo and tanks. We have a domestic army preparing for civil war. The new litmus test for military leaders is whether they are willing to fire on Americans. The regime has established 100 mile wide constitution free zones with random unwarranted checkpoints. We have become like Nazi Germany where police demand identification and conduct warrantless searches without any suspicion of a crime. Gun confiscation is taking place in New York. Will it come to your neighborhood? Our elections have been compromised by rampant fraud to the point that they resemble a banana republic.

The opposition press is harassed and investigated. Political opposition is harassed by the IRS. Public expressions of Christianity are being outlawed while sharia and preferences for Islam continue to advance. Muslims can block city streets in New York for mid afternoon prayers but nativity scenes are torn down. Christians are arrested in Dearborn for evangelizing on public sidewalks. Businesses and Churches are forced to offer insurance covering abortion inducing drugs. Christian businesses are prosecuted and forced to serve Sodomites.

What about the security index? Iran is on the verge of having nuclear weapons and ICBMs that can reach our soil while the Obama regime has negotiated away any leverage. We are experiencing a resurgence of Islamic terrorism while our military is being decimated.

The new normal involves less prosperity, less freedom and less security. The regime’s political opposition accuses them of incompetence. It is easy to draw this conclusion when we observe the implementation of Obama Care, but we should not mistake intentional destruction for incompetence. Make no mistake. The destruction of our health care system is intentional and the regime’s solution will be universal Medicaid for all. This new normal is all intentional and is the result of Obama’s promised “transformation.” The agenda is to punish America for its imperialist crimes. The agenda is on schedule.

But, especially during this Advent season we must remember that our true hope lies in Christ and the message of freedom that He brings. No matter what Caesar does, we can remain free in Christ. No fascist regime can take away that freedom. It was the freedom offered by the gospel of Christ that inspired our founders to settle here. That spark and hope of freedom is what generated the greatest engine of economic prosperity that the world has ever known. America’s Christian tradition is the foundation of our freedom and prosperity. There is a reason why Islamic nations are poor and why slavery is alive and well within their realms. That prosperity is what has kept us safe.

My hope this season is that that spark continues to kindle in the hearts of enough Americans to enable us to throw off the yoke of bondage that the current Muslim poser POTUS seeks to enslave us with.
