Lots of Dangers to USA: But Enemy Number One …

Congressional leaders agree: today, the U.S. faces the greatest terrorist threat ever.   We are not winning the war on terror. Yet, terrorists armed with WMD do not pose the greatest threat to our country, nor does the danger of global Jihad.

Financial experts insist the collapse of the dollar and the economy are the most lethal threats to our survival. Many others decry the world banking system, the scam of continuous and mounting debt, and the creation of fiat currencies rather than real wealth.  But even here, as catastrophic as these will be, they are not the greatest of our problems.

A nuclear Iran working in league with Russia, China, North Korea and the global Shi’ite Revolution stands as a great evil promising regional war in the Middle East, perhaps nuclear exchanges.

A weak, secularized Europe succumbs to demoralization and Jihad, no longer setting the pace to sustain liberal western democracy and civilization, another symptom of terminal decline, but not the nail in the coffin.

The ongoing global communist conspiracy is alive and well and operational on a level not seen since the Cold War.  Liberty is in the crosshairs, and economic freedom is on the verge of extinction.  Still, this is not enemy number one.

Insecurity and destabilization throughout the 10/40 window causes sleepless nights in embassies worldwide, especially in view of a nuclear Pakistan increasingly isolated and volatile.

Natural disasters and pandemics may well spell doom, yet these are not our biggest worries.

Some point to shadow governments and powerful conspiratorial groups pulling strings behind the scenes as the enemies of humanity, but none of these are as powerful or devastating as the real enemy.

Growing violence and poverty rates around the world are tremendous concerns, along with environmental degradation and fears a foreign power may soon be able to detonate an EMP device high over Kansas, sending the U.S. back to 1830 in a flash of lightening.  Still these do not top the list of threats.

Corruption in government, always a plague and a hindrance, appears more pervasive and insidious than ever, however, this alone will not destroy humankind.

We have a pathological liar wielding unconstitutional power in the White House.  A crooked man, he forwards a crooked agenda through crooked means toward a crooked end.  Day after day he breaks the law with impunity.  He funds our enemies, attacks our friends, threatens citizens, and ruins our economy, inviting total destruction.  Yet, even Barack Obama is not our greatest enemy. When he is gone, and we are left to clean up his mess, we will also be left with ourselves.

A godly America brought liberty and justice and representative government to the world stage, creating a beacon of light for all, pointing to a better day and a better way, for all people regardless of race, creed or national origin.  The focus on goodness nourished by the Supreme Lover made America the best and the brightest.

In the end, that focus, that idea — wrapped up in godliness, goodness, liberty, duty and responsibility — is dying because of another idea.  That toxic idea is as old as the hills, inexorable in appeal, and forever lethal in application.  It is the idea that man is his own god, that he has the knowledge and the processing power to run the show in his own strength and wisdom.  That idea is public enemy number one, for history clearly shows, when that idea takes root and plays out in actual practice, nothing good comes of it.

For proof just look to the last century where 150 million people were slaughtered behind the idea man is god, and there is no other.

Therefore, our only salvation at this, the 11th hour, comes from heeding the ancient wisdom found in the pages of the best seller of all time: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
