Job Creation, Astronomical Unemployment, Minimum Wage and Assorted Chi-Com Antics

I got an email recently informing about the financial antics of the Chi-Coms (Chinese Communists). They are industrious folks. And equally unscrupulous. Apparently, they produce more gold than any other country. They consume more cement than any other country. I mean…all other countries combined. (And, presumably, not all of it goes to the construction of those weird uninhabited “ghost” cities they’ve thrown up.) They have become the world’s largest market for cars and automotive products. The list was long.

Most interestingly, the Chi-Coms have created thousands of new jobs for Americans …inside America! They are building factories in the US and buying up lots of small American businesses. (And if we didn’t have to wonder about the ramifications of our colossal debt, which Obama has created for us in their favor, this little essay might be good for a few laughs.)

An interesting aside to the story about their new financial ascendancy was shown on television recently in a story about the huge dam the Chi-Com Aristocracy are building across the Yangtze. It boggles the mind. It is miles long and has hundreds of turbines, which each cost some astronomical sum I’ve already forgotten.

The government goons (and you thought only America has government goons) recently announced the plans to build and forced everyone in the area the new “lake” will take up below the new dam to move their homes. (There was newsreel of people taking their centuries old homes apart, brick by brick, in order to move them up hill or downriver inside the new “flood plain.” Obviously, setting the stage for the largest man-made disaster in history, if the dam breaks. The state goons assured everyone the dam would never fail. (Quick, someone call the architects of the Titanic.) (At least there have been no reports by the Goons that “not even God” can break it. But, of course, there would be no such boast since official policy says there is no God.)

Even more shocking than the Aristocracy’s utter disregard for their countrymen’s safety was their disregard for ancient Chinese culture. There was a small island on one upstream side of the Yangtze, inside the new “lake” area, of about three square miles, which was positively encrusted with archaeological artifacts of great antiquity. The government goons graciously allowed the archaeologists several months to start digging up the island and recover the items in the site, which was known to be an early site of ancient Chinese (as distinguished from “Chi-Com”) culture. The local museum had to quickly construct a huge new facility to house the newly disinterred artifacts from the island. The new and old museum were quickly jammed with beautiful artifacts. The dig was not done scientifically with proper recording of the artifacts as they saw the light of day for the first time in approximately four thousand years. A small cottage industry even sprang up consisting of exporting and selling the new artifacts as they were stolen (as quickly as they were brought in from the island excavation) from the unsecured museums.

One article was a golden free standing sculpture about four feet tall consisting of small human figures and animals performing various life activities. The workmanship was astonishing! Only a small portion of the site was excavated before the goons shut the dig down as the waters prepared to rise. How much was still in the ground can only be surmised. How many other similar islands were also doomed by the waters was unknown or not discussed.

This perfectly illustrates the sensitivity of the Chi-Com thuggish Aristocracy for its own cultural heritage and history.

My point is: the Congressional Budget Office (or some other government outfit) recently announced one of the unintended (?) consequences of Obamacare is the destruction of 500,000 existing (civilian/real) jobs. The Administration claims to have already created many jobs. (None of them are apparent in my neighborhood.) The Administration’s claim is, of course, a sham. Just like keeping your own personal physician. Or health insurance.

The exquisite irony here is, by comparison with the Chi-Coms, Obama is being badly outperformed by the Goons. Whether we are discussing the car industry or job creation for Americans, the Chi-Coms are making Obama look like the incompetent fraud he is. I don’t know how much Obama has stunted cement use and gold production, but I’m glad our own American history doesn’t go back more than three or four centuries or he would have been outstripped in his destruction of America’s cultural heritage also.

Wait…that would be a good thing. I think. For once, Obama would have done something right. Kind of. Even though he would have failed again.

Steve Bowers

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. He’s pretty naive.
