Next: Gas Chambers for ‘Bitter Clingers’?

Would you agree that child safety is important enough to warrant repealing the Second Amendment and the right of citizens to bear arms? And would you agree that for the greater good of society gun owners should be rounded up and imprisoned in FEMA detention camps?
No? Neither would I.

But media analyst Mark Dice found quite a few students on one college campus who were willing to sign a petition to that effect. Some even supported the notion of house-to-house searches to confiscate weapons and disarm their fellow citizens. More incredibly, a few even went along with the idea of executing gun owners.

“Let’s just feed the gun owners some of their own lead,” Dice suggested at one point, to see how far he could push the preposterous with a straight face. And yes, he got that student’s endorsement. Watch these incredible exchanges HERE. Note Dice’s own surprise and incredulity after each surreal encounter, when he can’t believe what he just heard.

OK, maybe some of these individuals were just humoring Mr. Dice. Who knows? Still, I’d be willing to bet Dice wouldn’t have gotten the same good-natured agreement had he been soliciting support for the impeachment of President Obama or the repeal of Roe V. Wade or a ban of same-sex marriage. He’d probably be lucky to get out of there in one piece.

Up to a point, you can understand the students’ reactions. Dice entices them with lofty-sounding appeals to Sandy Hook, the Connecticut elementary school where 20 children were shot to death last December, and to the high priority of public safety in a sometimes violent environment. But concentration camps and executions? Where is the revulsion we ought to see from a fellow citizen at the very thought of such atrocities being perpetrated against other fellow citizens?

That’s not to mention the illogical assumption that repealing the Second Amendment would actually make anyone safer. A cursory look around the globe should be enough to dispel that notion. Heck, look no farther than Chicago and Washington, D.C. to see the total failure of aggressive gun control measures.

But even that problem pales in comparison with the uglier truth Andrew Dice has uncovered: Institutions of higher education are indoctrinating our young people in disturbingly harmful ways. And unless something changes very drastically in our culture soon, we may eventually get to experience what it must have been like to live in pre-World War II Germany. Except this time the victims will be those of us who—in the words of our Dear Leader—cling to our guns and our Bibles.

Can’t you just see it coming?
