The Age of Liberalism: When Truth and Law No Longer Matter

Another sexually confused individual lied about being physically attacked in a so-called hate crime, but instead of acknowledging guilt, truthaphobes claimed this lie as a victory for their side and revealed that truth and law no longer matter at all to them.

The Associated Press eagerly reported on March 4 that, “San Francisco police investigate brutal attack on transgender teen in bathroom,” breathlessly noting that “disparaging remarks” allowed police to treat it as a “hate crime.”

But the story fell apart almost as quickly as the media could rush to publish it. The girl’s lack of bruising was one key factor in her lying.

Nevertheless, the truthaphobes applauded the lie and the story has been spun so that the girl is the victim, with the Associated Press writing the following on March 5:

Advocates who fought to get the law through the Legislature last year said the fact that the Hercules teen’s story appeared to be untrue does not minimize the harassment that transgender students routinely face.

Mario Trujillo, spokesman for the West Contra Costa Unified School District, said school officials are less concerned with punishing the student than making sure he gets the support he needs.

And The Patriot-News in Sodom, PA contributed to the Cause by asking if the ends justify the means:

Do the ends justify the means? That is one way to consider the story of a transgender high school student’s hoax of being the victim of a fabricated hate crime attack at the hands of three male students in the boy’s room of his high school. . . .

And the motive?

To rekindle support of a ground-breaking California law that allows transgender students to use restrooms that match their gender identity. The law is under attack by religious critics and could be challenged, even overturned, in court.

Get it? It isn’t the girl who first pretends to be a boy, then sexually assaults boys by entering the male latrine and/or locker room, and finally lies about being attacked who is at fault. Rather, it’s the “crazy Christian extremists” who think that sex is real and that males are males and females are females who are the “real” perpetrators.

There are no surprises with this latest lie. LifeSiteNews compiled a list of false flag attacks that sodomites have conducted over the past few years. They and their supporters justified all of them to one degree or another because the lies advance the Cause.

In fact, truthaphobes in general have escalated their lying and lawlessness in recent years, pushing things so far that the law increasingly only applies when it can be used to punish those who oppose them. David French described this in the following way at NRO on March 3 as he analyzed “The Arizona Debacle and the Failure of Hypothetical Messaging:”

It wrongly presumes our ideological opponents have the slightest interest in neutral, generally applicable laws. In their world, there is no way that a gay baker would be forced to bake the cake he didn’t like because the very act of forcing the gay baker to violate his conscience would be an act of discrimination against the gay baker.

Similarly, there is no chance that a Muslim student group would be forced to admit a hostile student because that would constitute discrimination against the Muslim student group. (In fact, when I once tried to persuade a Muslim leader to join with Christian groups in protecting religious liberty, he looked at me and said, “The college will never touch us. That would be discrimination.”)

In other words, the Leftist hears the hypothetical, stares at you blankly, and thinks, “No way will I allow that kind of injustice.”

And he’s largely right. So long as the Left dominates pop culture, the academy, and the key levers of government, these hypotheticals are as likely as the zombie apocalypse. The Left simply will not allow its favored identity groups to be victimized — regardless of what the law says, and if the law fails then perhaps “physical action” will suffice.

Indeed, the truthaphobes now openly consider “physical action” and lying as legitimate ways to advance their agenda. And when truth and law no longer matter it becomes increasingly clear that reasoning and logic no longer will work in convincing them that they are wrong.

Those who aren’t willing to sit idly by and watch society fall apart even further eventually will have to realize that the only option is to fight back against truthaphobes and retake society. If we don’t, then we and our children will see a future more horrible than most people can imagine.
