WUSSIFICATION: ‘Brotox’ Becoming More Popular with Men

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – Patients say it doesn’t take long and it doesn’t hurt.

“Nobody likes to look their age,” one man said.

According to researchers with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the number of men getting Botox jumped 10 percent last year to more than 300,000, and the new trend is called “Brotox.”

“Botox did not hurt at all. It’s just a pin prick in your forehead,” one man said who didn’t want to be identified. “Any man’s afraid he’s gonna get bumped by somebody younger in business or personal life too. I think once he gets over the stigma of it being something feminine, I could see more men being drawn to it.”

And that’s why Dr. Sutton Graham’s appointment book is filling up with men wanting facial fillers and Botox.

“They bring up specifically their employment and how it affects them in their job with their co-workers and with clients and people they meet,” Graham said.
