YIKES: (VIDEO) See the Insane Base Jump From NYC’s Freedom Tower

Four men climbed the 1,776-foot Freedom Tower in New York City at 3 a.m. on Sept. 30, 2013. Three of them parachuted down while one kept a lookout — and they’ve got footage to prove it.

The video, released on YouTube Monday, shows one of the men performing the terrifying jump, which ends up with a safe landing in the middle of the street.

Unfortunately for the parachutists, the stunt was not only extremely dangerous, but also illegal. A security guard at a nearby building saw them and called the police, which was ultimately able to identify one of the men in January, discovering videotapes on which the stunt was filmed at his home.
