Bizarre. Something Needs Fixing — Maybe It’s Justice Stevens
Justice John Paul Stevens needs fixed and in Iowa we know how to do that. There’s been a lot of talk this spring about nut-cutting in Iowa, so when I hear that a former Supreme Court Justice wants to FIX the constitution; I hear squeal like a pig in my head. Thank God he’s a former justice is all I can say. He was a justice from 1975 to 2010. That’s thirty-five years of this genius affecting all law in our land. I shudder.
What an arrogant, self-absorbed, pointy-object! His hypocrisy knows no bounds. His FIX for the Second Amendment is to simply add five little words to it. Hey, no big deal, nothing to see here. It’s only five words, you know, to modernize the living breathing old document. Here it is with the so-called FIX added in.
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people keep and bear Arms when serving in the Militia shall not be infringed.”
Take a deep breath, put the safety back on, it’s okay, he has no power, he’s just an old man talking. Whew. That was a close one. If that type of abomination was actually ever put into our blessed document you would see the birth of an American Militia apart from the military the likes of which has never been seen before.
Who knew we already have a militia in America? Apparently, they are standing by, keeping oaths to themselves, to their brothers-in-arms, and to God. Patiently waiting in the shadows with tattoos of “We The People” and “Molon Labe” on their forearms. They keep their rifles clean and gas in their tanks. They’re waiting for the muster. When the call for help in Nevada came, a surprising number of these Patriots, I mean domestic terrorists, actually hopped on their Harleys and headed to the Bundy Ranch for a good old fashioned show down. And don’t think for a minute that it’s over out there either.
The old leprechaun, Harry Reid, is plotting in the dark like Gollum from LOTR. No BLM actors, no tortoise huggers, and no bully Senators with Chinese Solar Power connections, are going to remove these cowboys peacefully from their land. If you want to remove them, BYOBB, bring your own body bags. Especially, since Mr. Bundy has just been caught on video acting like a bigot of epic proportions, look for a full assault coming soon to theater near you. Here’s the logic. He’s a racist. We had to blow him to smithereens.
Have the pompous in power never heard sayings like one of my Louis L’Amour favorites, root hog or die or from my cold dead hands or come and take it. A slogan like “Molon Labe“ wasn’t market tested and polled for likeability. It was proudly picked up by the incredibly outnumbered that have elected to die with pride rather than hand over their freedom. See Battle of Thermopylae and the 300 Spartans.
You may be shocked, but I agree with Justice Stevens. Let’s take his idea and implement it right away. Let’s do what Stevens says, today. Obama should take his mighty pen and make it so, effective now. Here it is – ARM THE DAMN MILITIA ON OUR BASES IMMEDIATELY! These guys and gals are trained in weaponry more than most citizens and are thoroughly being denied and deprived their Second Amendment rights. Our benevolent government has made them sitting ducks. Easy targets for real terrorists and psychos. Our troops have fewer rights to protect themselves and those around them than I do going to the movies. It’s absolutely absurd and I am glad that Justice Stevens agrees with me. Folks serving in the military ought not to have their right to bear a firearm infringed. Do it now! Unless we want to wait until the third time it happens at Ft. Hood.
Justice Stevens definitely needs fixed, because his days as a brilliant thinker are gone, if they ever existed. The Second Amendment is picture perfect harmonics exactly the way it is. Thanks, Founders, effectively annoying liberals, progressives, statists, worn out Supreme Court justices, and commies since the day the ink the dried.
