In Case You Haven’t Had Your Fill: More Politicians’ Dumb Remarks

I apologize if I’ve sent this cartoon out before. I’m gettin’ old and can’t remember anything anymore.

It was inspired by remarks by Sebelius and Harry Reid. Sebelius first. Naw…ladies first…

Harry Reid tried to explain in his own endearingly dumb way why Obamacare’s roll-out has failed so abysmally. The problem is that young people, the children of Baby-Boomers, cannot maneuver around on the Internet. According to Harry. He’s another guy who is having memory problems. Remember a few years ago when he forgot about a land deal he did which netted him a cool million. It completely slipped his mind when tax time came around. These things happen.

Speaking of land deals …and forgetfulness, I bet he’s about to forget he discussed the land deal his son was cooking up with some Chicomm pals and their energy conglomerate, which precipitated the Range War in Bunkerville,  Nevada. (Turtles. Gimme’ a break.) I’d guess father and son never spoke of it. That would probably be unethical, even for a Senator…or a lawyer…or a member of the Las Vegas City Counsel or the honchos of Clark County, whichever body Sonny was a member of before a recent election.  So, I’m certain they never discussed the big bucks Harry’s son was gonna’ pull down. Not once.

So Harry thinks you Internet kids are dumb. You guys who are always laughing at me because I don’t realize the importance of the picayune rules you’ve dreamt up about email/twitter grammar shortcuts. Maybe he is right as many of you fellows voted the present Administration in…twice. And even though your Mom’s basement is cozy and the rent is cheap, you’re finally figuring out you’ll never leave Mom'[s home cooking if we don’t toss these jerks out of office soon. (Does mom insist you do the dinner dishes in appreciation for her home cookin’? You should do it with out being badgered. It’s the least you can do. After the way you voted.)

Maybe Harry’s right about you. Which is all very ironic since another dummy from the Senate invented the Internet. So it can’t be that hard to figure out.

Get with it!

Now about Sebelius’s recent, really dumb comment. Apparently, in her personal on-going battle to make  Obamacare seem less of a boondoggle, she has taken to looking for any rationalization explaining its failure. Nothing is too idiotic. And for her no one is safe from being accused of idiocy. She said that some people get their news from comedic sources. What’s wrong with that, so long as the take away is truthful and accurate.

I enjoy telling my pals they don’t need to watch the news anymore if they just read my cartoons. From my cartoons (in my own humble opinion, at least) you can hear what’s going on in the world. You can also enjoy some fair artwork (in my opinion, at least).

From a health standpoint, most people are sleep deprived and don’t drink enough water (if you don’t count grain alcohol), and likewise, they are “art deprived.” Admittedly, my cartoons may not fill this ephemeral void, but it’s worth a try.

Best of all, if you view my cartoons you can avoid spending a lot of mental energy trying to analyze the world events swirling around you. My cartoons will do that work for you. My cartoons will tell you what to think as well as entertain you (I’m really going out on  a limb here.)  Einstein is said to have had his closet full of many identical black turtlenecks and tweedy jackets because he didn’t wanna waste the mental effort of deciding what to wear every morning. Viola! Save yourself some mental energy. Just read my cartoons and skip the dull Media news. Avoid the tedium of listening to talking heads who couldn’t formulate an opinion on the benefit of toilet training youngsters before they reach adulthood…if pressed to discuss the topic.

Did you ever really consider Dan Rather interesting. He couldn’t hold your attention even if he was describing a train wreck when he was riding the train. And now we know he would probably make stuff up about the train he was riding. Heck, he may even have sabotaged the train…as we now know.  Those Media guys make stuff up. Not me. You can take my messy little cartoons to the bank. (I just wish I could.)

See the cartoon above. Don’t analyze it. Just look it over and keep moving. And if it isn’t funny, find something else to laugh at today. Laughter is as important as water and sleep. Liberals/commies are humor deprived. You never see ’em laugh. You don’t want to end up looking like them, do you?

So relax. Let me do the work and worry for you.

Steve Bowers

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. He’s pretty naive.
