FIGHT CHURCH: MMA/Fighting Pastors Battle In New Documentary

The first rule of Fight Church might be duking it out over the holiness of Fight Church, as seen in a new film from Oscar-winning director Daniel Junge (Saving Face, the forthcoming Beyond the Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary) and Bryan Storkel (Holy Rollers: The True Story of Card Counting Christians).

The feature-length docu tracks MMA-fighting pastors who blend bruising battle in the octagon with their teachings of The Bible, as well as those within the faith community who question such a union of Christianity and violence. Pic also features interviews with pro fighters Benson Henderson and Jon Jones and is produced by Eben Kostbar and Joseph McKelheer. With faith-based hit God’s Not Dead blazing up the box office, Fight Church is shopping theatrical and broadcast rights via The Film Sales Company and premieres this month at IFF Boston.
