Behind the Scenes: Al-Qaeda Movie Productions …

Did you see the picture of Sgt. Burgdahl working on some balletic move with a girl in a tutu? Brings back memories of Rahm Emmanuel, Mayor or Murder City, Illinois. (I always hope these sort of pictures are the result of guys living in their mom’s basement with too much time on their hands. You know…phony photos, but when everything else is goofy on a certain person or issue, you can usually count on the photos being genuine.)

Why does Burgdahl’s mom not have to wear a burkha? It is so hard to keep abreast of all these cross-cultural nuances. (I for one miss the good old days when we weren’t so anxious to display our cross-cultural sensitivity.

My Dad spent a year in Japan during the occupation and he only learned eight (8) words of Japanese. The largest was “mushi-mushi” which he would use to crack up us kids when we were little. I don’t know why, but it made us roar. The other seven words were “one to eight” in Japanese. He was a very sensitive guy. Hr was very keen on noticing when one of his kids fouled up. He was always sensitive about setting things right. And five out of six of us turned out well. That’s the kind of cultural sensitivity that’s missing today.)

Steve Bowers

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. He’s pretty naive.
