Hope, Swag, and Change: Obama’s Assault On Our US Military

This Friday, June 6, 2014, our country honors the 70th anniversary of D-Day and we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice of our veterans on that day on the beaches in Normandy. Had it not been for the thousands of Allied troops storming the beaches to defeat the Nazi forces that controlled most of Europe, evil would have prevailed. We are not only reminded of this great and selfless sacrifice from 1944, but also reminded of the dedicated men and women who serve our county today. We would not be the greatest country in the world had they not dedicated themselves to safeguard the precious thing we know as freedom.

That said, the “Bergdahl/Taliban 5” trade which is on everyone’s mind and the timing of these two events brings into question just exactly what in God’s name this administration thinks it is doing.  The President’s decision to trade a known deserter (at best, worse case, he’s a traitor who’s collaborated with a our enemy) for five well known, dangerous Taliban leaders is inexplicable. We are now learning that as early as 2010, the President was aware of the suspicious circumstances regarding Bergdahl’s disappearance and multiple members of his platoon have come forward with information that not only confirms that Bergdahl deserted, but held also anti-American and military sentiments well before his desertion.

A bad seed in any organization is inevitable, but it is how we handle those individuals that determine our loyalty to the ideals this country stands for. Since the inception of this great country, treason has been considered the ultimate offense, especially in the military, and carries with it serious punishment. New developments about Bergdahl’s desertion , his so-called capture, conversion to Islam, and declaring himself mujahid are being revealed not only by those  who  served with him, but also by classified government documents. 

It is frightening how the Obama Administration chose to ignore these facts, as they typically do, but instead chooses to attack the character and mental status of those denouncing the Bergdahl swap when the facts become public. This past week, an Obama  Administration official referred to the veterans who spoke out against the Bergdahl  swap as psychopaths.  So, the six servicemen who served this country honorably and have provided firsthand accounts of Bergdahl’s behavior are psychopaths but the man who deserted his country for our sworn enemy is not only a hero, but a hero worth trading five Taliban who are responsible for the deaths of THOUSANDS? 

In addition, there are numerous reports that Bergdahl may have given up information about troop movements in the region and at least six servicemen have perished looking for his useless hide.  No wonder he had to bypass Congress.  This Administration has no problem with an American convert to Islamic jihad being traded for five Islamic terrorists. Americans aren’t buying it.  But no one will do a thing about it.

When our brave military stormed the beaches of Normandy, they did so to prevent the spread of evil throughout the world and if they hadn’t we would be speaking German. Here we are 70 years later, and we are not only aiding our enemy, but celebrating them. We have a President who not only caters to the Taliban and radical Islam but abets them by smiling when being referenced.

Bowe Bergdahl’s father Robert began his speech at the White House with Obama beaming next to him and repeated a well-known verse in Arabic, “In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate.” Many have noted that Robert Bergdahl was claiming the White House for Islam. The smile and nod Obama gave following Bergdahl’s statement no doubt gives way to that notion, since Obama has been long believed to be Muslim (and at this point, can that really be contested?)

I did a little digging on Robert Bergdahl’s Twitter page and the results were alarming. He is not only a follower of multiple Afghani  and Islamic Jihadist pages, one of which claims to be the “voice of Jihad” (@ABalkhi) but has also posted a number of pro-Islam and anti-Gitmo tweets. Why is it that Robert Bergdahl would speak the language of his son’s supposed captors, giving them the recognition they want? This statement angered many Americans but most certainly appeased the Taliban. A Taliban official this week said the organization was “thrilled” at elder Bergdahl’s reference to Allah in his speech. I don’t know if this administration remembers, but the Taliban is, or at least was, an enemy to not only America, but western civilization as a whole as they want to destroy any and all who do not conform to their dangerous and delusional beliefs. I’m starting to believe that we have no bigger enemy than our very own President, and there’s no one willing to challenge this administration and expose all of the damage it has caused to our credibility at home and around the world.  It’s time for Articles of Impeachment.

For many Americans, this was the threshold for unacceptable behavior and Obama has most certainly crossed it. We no longer have a Commander in Chief, we have a Terrorist in Chief. Can you imagine FDR or Harry Truman not only surrendering to the Japanese and Germans, but assisting them in their mission to desecrate the United States?

In his recent G7 Summit press conference this week, Obama said, “As Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces, I am responsible for these kids.” How noble of you, Mr. President but you have yet to claim responsibility for the destruction you have caused this country over the past 6 years? Where were you when four Americans were brutally attacked and killed in Benghazi? Where were you when an innocent Marine was imprisoned in Mexico? The jig is up with this fraud and too many people, mostly our military, have died as a result of this president’s refusal to take responsibility for his decisions (as well as the decisions he’s never made).  

Forget the President being the “Commander in Chief” of our Armed Services the way FDR and Truman were, because let’s face it America, you will only get rescued by this President if you desert your country, convert to Islam, and join the Taliban. The facts have been there all along, Obama voters were just blinded by hope, swag, and change.

Thank God this embarrassment wasn’t President in more trying times like World War II. Obama’s cleverly disguised intentions and agenda are best summed up in a quote from the film The Usual Suspects, “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist.”
