There is no surprise anymore when Obama brings up another way he wants to ‘fundamentally transform’ our country. This time he praises Australia for their actions in gun confiscation and thinks we should be doing the same. See below from Biz Pac Review:
President Obama hasn’t been shy about using executive orders to get his way since Republicans took over the House in 2010, and now he might be putting gun rights in his sights.
There’s not going to be any legislative action restricting Second Amendments rights any time soon – robust or otherwise.
Obama admitted as much during a Q & A session with Tumblr founder David Karp at the White House. Other countries that don’t have constitutional freedoms to firearms have already cracked down in ways that couldn’t be imagined here.
“Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since,” Obama said.
“Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.”
