Liberal Tolerance Hoax! Hobby Lobby Case Exposes It

Everyone knows that liberals are all about “tolerance,” and they are outraged over the intolerance permitted by the U.S. Supreme Court, who issued a ruling Monday, which lifted the boot of the oppressive Obama regime from the throats of the devoutly religious owners of Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood. Now, I know what some of you are saying; that is, “Teri, how can you tell that liberals are outraged about this Supreme Court decision when they walk around in a perpetual state of rage?” Point taken, but I know because, I watch so you don’t have to, and I have seen dozens of them on the 24/7 television nuthouse, MS-NBC, and elsewhere, screeching, and on the verge of seizures, because allegedly the owners of Hobby Lobby are “denying contraception to their female employees,” which is like my claiming that my neighbor is denying me a Lexus because he doesn’t go down to the dealership with me and write the check to pay for it.

It’s laughable and ridiculous, but it’s also an opportunity to reflect on an important fact highlighted by the Court’s decision. The Left is not tolerant. The touchy-feely pap about “choice,” “rights,” and “fairness” that they try to use to cover up their fascism is a pathetic fig leaf that leaves the ugly reality completely exposed. 

The Left’s view of “tolerance” dictates that everyone agree with agendas and policies that fly in the face of traditional values, norms, and Christianity. If anyone, (yes, I’m looking at you, Bitter Clinger) doesn’t like it, tough toenails. His role is to sit down, shut up, submit and pay.

The Green family, owners of Hobby Lobby, are appalled and horrified at the idea of innocent human life being destroyed in the womb, and they certainly don’t want to subsidize it. Like many of us, they have a tough time understanding how they have zero say in a woman’s “choice” about what she does with her body, but 100% responsibility to pay for whatever choice she makes. That view is “intolerant” in the view of the Left, and therefore, cannot be permitted. 

Clearly, the issue isn’t whether women can have access to contraception, or even abortion. Those things are widely available, and in the case of birth control, very affordable. (Some Neanderthals might actually suggest that the most affordable choice is to abstain from sex if one is not prepared to bring a child into the world.) Liberals know that nothing in the Hobby Lobby decision affects a woman’s ability to have sex with the starting lineup of the Washington Redskins six times a day if she desires, and to use birth control prior to, or have an abortion afterwards.

Their poorly-hidden agenda is bludgeoning anyone who disagrees with them into submission. It’s the Green’s Christian beliefs, which conflict with the Left’s religion, liberalism, or if you prefer, socialism, that are the real problem. If the Court allows opposition, how will they usher in paradise here on Earth?

Don’t you just wish these phony liberals could be honest for once? They don’t give a rat’s hind end about the fact that Hobby Lobby is a “for profit corporation.” Their disgust at the notion of “corporate personhood,” or any of the legal issues surrounding the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the statute that was at issue here, doesn’t matter to them either. Even if they got someone to read  RFRA, as we lawyers call it, or the Supreme Court opinion, to them, most liberals wouldn’t understand either one, nor would they care what either one says.

Do we really think that liberals would be less unhinged over this decision if it involved an unincorporated business or a sole proprietorship? Of course they wouldn’t! Do they consider it “intolerant” if an individual Christian baker doesn’t want to participate in a so-called “same-sex” wedding? Yes, they do, and they don’t ask whether that bakery is a corporation, nor do they care. They want the government to require that baker to get his mind right, and bake that wedding cake, or be fined or even imprisoned. Who do they think they are kidding with this feigned outrage over corporate law?

What have I been telling you for years? The Left lies.
