UNTAPPED BOUNTY: Energy and Economic Prosperity

Throughout our nation’s history, America’s economy has thrived whenever energy was cheap and abundant. Conversely so, our economy has always floundered at the exact same times which energy costs have skyrocketed.

And despite the constant drumbeat of those in the administration and their adoring groupies in the mainstream media, America is NOT currently experiencing a recovery, a fact that the media would have made glaringly obvious to everyone if the occupant of the White House still had an “R” behind his name.

Moreover it is not a coincidence that Obama’s Great Recession is also coming at a time when energy costs are at an all-time high.

The two are inseparably linked.

And even Obama has publicly stated that his energy policy would naturally cause prices to “skyrocket.”

In all reality, Obama’s current energy policy is that he will allow the entire world to mine, drill, and refine their energy resources. He just won’t let America do it.

I believe America has been blessed by God with an abundance of natural resources, resources that would be limitless as long as we, as a nation, never forgot their one true Giver.

Coal, oil, timber, natural gas, and water power, all of these natural resources have been given to us in abundance in order to fuel our great nation.

Increasingly, we are being led by a miserable and angry band of educated misfits who have perverted our science, arrogantly thinking that they know more than the Creator. They claim that we are permanently harming the environment by using these gifts that God has graciously placed at our disposal.

Nothing could be further from the truth. And nothing could be so vain or more profoundly ignorant.

We constantly are subjected to stupid and meaningless terms such as economic or environmental justice.

Justice, as it’s currently defined, means that someone with less is trying to steal from someone else who has more. Moreover, the term applies equally well to both individuals and nations.

And that is the entire basis for the United Nations’ policies on the environment, policies which Obama has willingly embraced at our own detriment.

It begins to make you wonder whatever happened to the uniquely American idea of “justice for all.”

What a concept!

While Obama is shutting down dozens of coal-fired power plants at home, we are exporting coal overseas to places like China and India at a record rate.

At the same time, their manufacturing interests will continue to flourish, while ours will suffer at home. And should this policy continue, the supplies to fuel our own future energy needs at home will eventually not be met.

And the prices for America’s energy will rise.

So will our unemployment rolls.

America has been given an endless and renewable supply of natural resources with which to fuel our energy needs. But unfortunately, we have chosen to listen to a host of whiny, environmental bed-wetters, a pack of arrogant losers who couldn’t successfully run a child’s lemonade stand, let alone an entire nation.

God certainly has no obligation to bless America when we are too stupid or arrogant to use those tools which He has so graciously placed in our hands.
