TOO MUCH SILENCE–A Holocaust in Our Time

Jihadists are engaged in mass murder, slavery, rape and plunder around the world at a barbaric pace not seen in centuries. Children are being beheaded, chopped in half, shot and dismembered.  Women are being raped, sold into slavery, and stoned.  Women and children are being buried alive.  Men are being executed by firing squad or beheaded after being tortured.

Most of the victims are defenseless civilians.  Their crime: being non-Muslim, in the main, Christians.

During the last couple years millions of people have been displaced and hundreds of thousands have been murdered.  With the coming of ISIS, the butchery escalates beyond anyone’s imagination. Mere words cannot describe the carnage, the rivers of blood and tears unleashed by this pack of wolves.

Madmen with sophisticated weapons roam the Middle East, central Africa, and the Far East, killing masses of people indiscriminately, perpetrating horrific slaughter day-by-day, exceeding Nazi and Communist cruelty.

Millions of people, mostly women and children, cry out for rescue.  What is the response from America and Europe?  Western leaders talk about doing something.  The U.N. issues condemnations.  Only the Pope calls for direct action and military intervention.

The U.S. President stands by watching mounting atrocities, saying little, and doing less.  He might be impaired by indecision.  He may be frozen from fear, or he may simply be a coward.  Some believe his inaction is tacit approval.  Whatever the explanation, his complete failure to confront the great evil of our time is a disgrace beyond measure.

Worse than the impotence of the U.S. government: the silence in the pulpit.  A handful of preachers speak out and raise a voice of warning and alarm, but the majority of leaders in the churches in the West remain silent. Their disgrace exceeds Obama’s humiliation for they claim to serve the God of love but instead serve the god of this world. One American volunteer in uniform is worth a thousand of them.

Worse than a feckless president and the cowering clergy, the American citizen who refuses to vote or speak out in protest.  God will hold all of us accountable, for every idle word, and for every act of desertion.

Tiny Israel acts to protect her people after years of suffering Jihadist aggression, pushing back against Hamas using every means to avoid civilian casualties, and the world goes berserk with protest demonstrations against the Jewish people, leveling false allegations of genocide and atrocity.

But when Jihadists proclaim actual murderous intent, and act on it across the face of the earth, committing real genocide and atrocity, the masses fall back, mute in the face of these brutal barbarians.

The time has come for men and women of honor and courage to step up, take a stand, speak up, and fight back.  Anything less amounts to surrender, making allowance for suffering like no one has ever seen.  Just image nuclear weapons in the hands of these ISIS maniacs. Do we really believe the Ebola pandemic is just a happenstance?  Do we really believe being nice will dissuade these bloodthirsty demoniacs?

The very least we can do is vote for real leaders with spine so as to prevent calamities instead of being mastered by them.
