Here is where we are in Barack Obama’s post-racial America. In Ferguson, MO, a huge “youngster,” so enormous that he could be confused for Michelle Obama in disguise, is seen on a convenience market surveillance video robbing a store and threatening a clerk who appears to be half his size. Minutes later, this 18 year-old man is shot and killed in some sort of altercation with the police. Facts about what actually happened are still very scarce, but there is an avalanche of opinions, including the assertion by many that the police officer involved is a “murderer,” and that the release of the tape is “character assassination” of the thug depicted in it.
As a result, some residents of Ferguson, and dozens of outsiders from as far away as California, decide that the rational reaction to this law enforcement incident, which all agree is a sad and tragic event, is to riot, burn and loot the town. Race hustling shakedown artists and attorneys who specialize in ginning up rage when young black men engaging in socially-undesirable behavior get killed as a result arrive on the scene to declare “no justice, no peace.”
Finally, the racialist Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, who unabashedly proclaims himself as proud to be an “activist,” arrives on the scene and questions the actions of local law enforcement, strongly implying that they may have racist tendencies, lending credence to the false narrative that fuels the rage and sense of entitlement that makes the looters feel justified, all the while claiming to be adamantly opposed to violence and property damage.
Some of you might be scratching your heads asking “how exactly is the police officer in Ferguson the problem when a gigantic guy, high on pot, robs a store and then charges the cop? Why is Michael Brown, on tape committing a crime, some sort of martyr while the police officer has to go into hiding simply for doing his job?” All good questions.
Here’s another good question. Why does the Michael Brown incident result in wall-to-wall media coverage, a comment from the President of the United States and a visit from the Attorney General, when just two days after Michael Brown’s unfortunate encounter with law enforcement, there was a very similar incident in Salt Lake City, UT?
On August 11, a police officer shot and killed 20 year-old Dillon Taylor, an unarmed white man. Despite efforts by the dinosaur media to cover it up by referring to the police officer who shot Mr. Taylor as “not white”, some local reports have stated the obvious; that is, that a black police officer did the shooting. I certainly hope that local law enforcement is able to handle the rioting, burning and looting in Salt Lake City inspired by this law enforcement matter. Oh wait …
I’m sure that it’s very clear to you what is going on here. What some people actually think of as “news” is actually more like a reality TV channel. Currently, the most popular program on that channel is Tales of the Race Grievance Industry. The most recent episode is “Don’t Shoot. Michael Brown, Gentle Giant.” Prior to this riveting story, the most popular episode was “Justice for Trayvon.” The template is the same. The “murder” of an “innocent child” by an evil racist, challenged several days later by the revelation that the child had some very disturbing, and anti-social images and statements on social media, information that is ignored by the Lame Stream Media, lest it challenge their black victim narrative.
Why do the media seem so unwilling to report the facts; specifically, in the Ferguson case, that Officer Darren Wilson suffered severe injuries in the confrontation with Michael Brown? Why is the Salt Lake City case not even a blip on the media’s radar screen? It’s as if the media might actually have an agenda; specifically to ensure that the Ferguson tragedy be used to advance their agenda, the never-ending and irredeemable sins of racist America?
There is no doubt that the Lame Stream Media is agenda-driven, but I think there is something more going on here, and to understand it, we need to go back to Barack Obama’s oracle, Saul Alinsky. Let’s listen to one of his acolytes, also a mentor and hero to Barack Obama, describing one essential thing that all “community organizers” must remember, the Cloward-Piven strategy, first proposed in 1966 by Columbia University professors Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven in their seminal article,”The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty” published in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation. In September 27, 1970, Cloward told the New York Times that poor people could advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them.”
And so we have reached the point where everyone is afraid, not necessarily of poor people, but of the race hustlers and the beneficiaries of Barack’s stash, so much so that almost no one can speak the simple, common sense truth: the Left uses race to advance its evil agenda, and it has the assistance of a disgusting lapdog media as its handmaiden.
