Witnesses at the race where Kevin Ward Jr. was killed are claiming that they saw Tony Stewart speed up as Ward was walking out on the track. See below…
A father and son who attended the race were on Fox and Friends this morning to recount what they saw. Michael Messerly noticed Stewart speed up as he drove toward Ward, but said it wasn’t clear to him why Stewart was speeding up.
“It was an increase of speed. … I saw Tony Stewart’s vehicle go by and Kevin wasn’t there anymore. He was gone and I didn’t really know what had happened. My assumption on the speed-up was just basically, Tony Stewart sped up to avoid an altercation on the track,” he said.
