ANTI-CHRISTIAN AGENDA? ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and Conservatives

As many of you already know, Dancing with the Stars is a television competition that pairs athletes, performers, and Hollywood celebrities with professional dancers, who try to teach them a number of different styles of dance.

Recently, the producers at DWTS have chosen to invite on their program a number of guests who are known to be politically conservative, or closely associated with the movement, and also those who have boldly and openly embraced the tenets of the Christian faith.

These individuals who were chosen to join the show were Gov. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, Candace Cameron Bure, and now, Sadie Robertson, daughter of Duck Dynasty’s, Willie Robertson.

There have been two reasons for these selections. And the first one is obvious.

Upon seeing their ratings significantly start to slide, the producers were seeking to bring a fresh, new base of devoted fans to their show.

Conservatives.

The second reason is much more despicable.

While participating on the show, Candace Cameron Bure and Sadie Robertson have expressed some concerns about preserving some modicum-level of modesty to the outfits which they would be wearing during the program.

This has already been a hot topic of discussion regarding the show for Hollywood producer types, who are generally unfamiliar with the notion that anybody would have any reservations whatsoever with the garments which were prepared for them.

After all, in Hollywood, anything goes.

And the more provocative and bizarre it is, the better they like it.

And that is where I believe the second reason comes in for inviting Christians and conservatives to perform on these shows.

I believe they wish to belittle them or somehow undermine their values, thereby proving that the beliefs which they hold are somehow phony or illegitimate.

Make no mistake about it; Hollywood and much of Washington abhor Christianity and they bitterly despise conservatives.

They mock them on late-night television monologues. They ridicule them on prime-time comedies, dramas, and news shows. And they belittle them on pretty much every other program they broadcast on a majority of the television networks.

As a general rule, Christians and conservatives don’t really think they are better than everyone else, but liberals routinely think they think that.

But just because those who support “family values” occasionally fall, sometimes succumbing to values which are certainly less than stellar, it clearly doesn’t mean their principles and ideals are inferior.

It just means those individuals are indeed human.

However, liberals love to orchestrate and seek out these occasional incidents of failure, in order to simply laugh and howl about them later.

And I believe nothing would please them more than if their program could be seen as the launching pad that would transform the career of a sweet and kind young person such as Sadie Robinson into the latest diseased-version of Miley Cyrus.

Hollywood delights in doing anything what would succeed in kicking away the pedestals on which they think conservatives are often standing.

These same type of A&E geniuses who killed Longmire and tried to silence Phil Robertson and tone down the scenes of meal-time prayers on Duck Dynasty would love to see the daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson performing on stage on a nightly basis, scantily-clad, sticking out her tongue like a serpent, and twerking in front of a band of costumed misfits.

And then they would plaster those pictures on the cover of every magazine across the nation and make them the lead story on every broadcast.

You think I’m wrong?

Then perhaps you can explain to me why liberals took such obvious glee in seeing Bristol Palin give birth to a child out of wedlock or seeing her marriage to Levi Johnston fail, as if those human frailties somehow undermined all of the high and noble ideals to which her mother, Sarah Palin, professed to believe.

I think the producers of DWTS would have loved to see their program destroy the happy home and marriage of Candace Cameron Bure, as if that would also poke a middle finger in the eye of her Christian, conservative brother, actor and film producer, Kirk Cameron.

Yet despite their hated for Christians and conservatives, Hollywood executives are often too smart to bite the hand that feeds them. However, if they could simultaneously enjoy the ratings bonanza that conservatives bring to their programs, while also seeing it destroy a number of their lives and reputations in the process, then that would be perceived as a substantial “win-win” in Hollywood circles.

And that is the reason they will continue inviting them on their programs.
