Stoners rejoice!
Pepsi has confirmed that they will be unveiling Doritos flavored Mountain Dew. Alas, the highly caffeinated pseudo-Mexican chip spiked drinks will only be available at a few colleges and universities.
A Pepsi press release read in part, “We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities.”
If Doritos is part of the “DEW flavor vault,” I’d hate to see what else is in there!
Turns out the stuff is real, confirmed by Pepsi themselves. Quartz reached out to the soft drink company/destroyer of worlds and got the following statement in return:
We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us. We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities. (via)
